I disagree with the defense comment. The reason the game went under was due to the offense of the Patriots. They held the ball for 37 minutes, long enough for the Bengals to have no chemistry on the field. There were times the Bengals could've gotten into the endzone, but they did not get the ball enough to have any kind of rythm.
You even said it yourself, Brady could've hit Moss all day and often. But they didn't. The first touchdown to Moss were all rushing plays leading up to it. They were killing the clock since they were up by more than 10. The reason the defense was so spectacular, was because they were fresh, on the sideline, where Brady and the boys kept them. I'm pretty sure Belichick was concern at the injuries on defense on Cincy, and didn't want that stuff happening to his players, hence no 40 yd bomb. Asante Samuels save the under with the interception before the half, but the Patriots could've put 40+ on the boards last night if they wanted.

Not sure, but I think warblade was just saying he is giving more credit to the offensive gameplan/clock management instead of specifically defensive lock-down---for last nights win in particular.
I don't think anyone can argue with your comment about the pats D. They are pretty sick. Not only are they deeper than lindsay lohan , as we saw last night--they can beat you with schemes, blitzes, getting to the qb or as they clamped down later in the game by rushing just TWO GUYS. they can pretty much run any type of formation--on both sides of the ball. Scary to think how they will be when one of their main captains---harrison---and seymour comes back.
