So many trolls in here, I'll bet even a lot of the people loving manning today will very quickly turn their back on him if he loses.

i think you have your point, Moneyshot. Already heard a lot of talks that Peyton Manning is the best regular season QB in the history of NFL. Peyton has a chip in the shoulder, a monkey on his back, i expect him to play hard to get that chip off his shoulder and get rid of the monkey off his back in this Super Bowl.

Win or Lose I still love manning and he is still one of the greats with only 1 ring if that's the case.  This isn't tennis, it's a team game. I think championships/rings is not always accurate in determining a players greatness or legacy.  Your teammates, coaching/management are huge factors. People seem to forget about that and only look at 'Well so and so has more rings than that guy so he must be better'. It's such bs.

Cowherd had the same discussion on his show today regarding the public opinion of Manning if he lost the SB. The guy is, undoubtedly, one of the best in history no matter the outcome

I do not think it is an automatic bash.
If he goes out and throws for 500 yards and no Int, the public will still love him.
I have watched a ton of Manning through the years and if you do not get at him, forget about it. He will kill you.
That said, when he gets rattled, he is human like everyone else.
Billichick made him look stupid a couple of years ago by jamming the receivers and throwing off his rhythm. I see the same from the birds in two weeks. They are a clutchy-grabby team and the refs have let it slide.  Manning has confidence issues like everyone else. He can be rattled. Remember, he lost the super bowl to the Saints on that onside kick, until that time, the game looked over. It totally changed the game and remains the greatest and gutsiest coaching call ever.
This game hinges on the hankies, throw them for defensive holding and the Broncos win. Keep them in your pocket and the Birds will roll easily and the Manning bashing will begin.
Welker, Decker cannot get open if jammed.
Demaryius Thomas still can but that is there double.
Julius Thomas is still very raw and I think the physicality of the Birds will give him some trouble.
On D Wilson has simply not looked like he did early in the year. I see him having a ton of trouble in this game on this stage. Broncos were so good stopping the run last week, if Pot Roast does that again, they win.

Well then he better speak to his O line and tell them to play too because without them, he's nothing in this game...Its not only about him in this game.

Peyton is an all time great hands down 1st ballot hall of famer regardless of this game.  Unfortunately for him he will go down as the greatest regular season QB all time w/ Marino but that shouldn't take away from his legacy.  He ran into a juggernaut of a defense last night and his receivers were literally scared to death over the middle it was obvious.  Don't bash Manning just give credit where it's deserved....Seahawks will go down w/ the Bears as one of theee greatest D's we have seen in a SB bar none, end of story, amen!
