49ers fan here, but I wouldn't call this year defense is elite or even good. They are more likely to lose the game because of the defense than the offense gotten stopped.

Does Andy have any more reprobate sons who are going to drink, drive, and destroy the lives of young children by crashing into them on the eve of the SB?! If so, then I’d say you are on to something.

Crazy, I can see Andy getting the script before they practice on Monday saying 'hold on' I'm sure I can find another sacrifice.

Lol are you a Niners fan because we can go thru the list.
As a Bronco fan, I’m going to say the Jovan Belcher situation was quite a bit worse. Or better because him blowing his head off at Arrowhead in front of Romeo Crennel is my go to for Chiefs hate. It also got Andy Reid to KC. But I digress. Go Chiefs!!!

The Chiefs o-line was decimated in that Bucs game. KC’s o-line has looked pretty good even without Thuney.
And you’d think you’ve eaten enough crow on the 9ers in this forum by now that you’d know better than to give people a silly “final warning” against betting the chiefs.
Yes, the 9ers want this so bad they can feel it in their plums. But Purdy has looked shaky, their D was exposed by the packers and lions and they’re likely one insanely lucky helmet deflection catch away from sitting out this Super Bowl.

That's a fact. And the game was in Tampa in front of a mere 25k fans. There were intangibles that game and season unlike anytime ever thanks to the pandemic. Just not the best game to make analogies too.

I'm a 49ers fan and have enormous futures tied to the 49ers.
I will tell you, having followed this team this entire year that nothing is certain about this game. Nothing.
This is just as much of a coin-toss game as I have ever seen and it depends on which version of which team decides to show up.
Will the 49ers play with effort? Will they have a sense of urgency coming out this game? They certainly cant get into a a deficit like they did against the Lions.
Speak of their defense, I would call them anything but elite. They have playmakers everywhere but you saw the effort that Chase Young gave throughout that game? Talanoa Huffango their all pro safety is out at safety due to an ACL injury. Ambry Thomas and Isiah Oliver are huge liabilities at slot corner vs the chiefs receivers. Steve Wilkes has shown a propensity to play soft zone, and he tends to call that frequently (a downgrade from Dameco Ryans). I would also argue that our interior DL needs to be more productive. Hargrave and Armstead seem mediocre at best and injuries to Clelin Ferrel, Drake Jackson are concerning considering we need depth on the DL to get after Mahomes.
The 49ers need to scheme well and be more than prepared if they are going to take down this motivated Chiefs team that is playing well at the right time of the season and has a elite defense.

Most of your reasoning seems to be based more on emotion, than reason... Mahomes was basically immobile in the T.B. game and KC was down some crucial o-linemen, never had a chance...and Purdy is no Brady, not yet; on the other hand, I dont see KC with much of an explosive offense, and missing a key player on defense will have to hurt...SF has the offensive weapons and I think Young Mr Purdy rises to the occasion here.
