From what I hear, the Steelers will resign Fields and if he isn't the solution, they will draft a franchise QB down the road. Fields played well and was 4-2 as a starter.
Skylar Thompson??? Right, he isn't an answer, he is more of a question. Why??? It really won't make much of a difference as most of the fan-base has tuned out.

I'm looking forward to that organization falling off a cliff and having them win 4 games a year for the next 10 years while Tomlin gets fired.
Then they can use Tomlins stupid Bulldog Face for the adopt a pit bull foundation.

Tomlin knew he had 2 shit QBs but he isnt going to say that during the season. They just couldnt go back to Fields once the move to Russ happened.
There are no franchise QBs that Pitt can get this year. Maybe they luck out and draft a QB in the later rounds that turns out to be badass, but otherwise they will have to go the free agency route and there arent many good ones out there

Yes, because 9-8 and a one and done in the playoffs are what the Steelers strive for.

Tomlin in his newest press conference said the he is going to 'unearth' the reasons for the team's poor performance. He need only look into a mirror. The whiskey soaked brain of the owner could care less and sits back and collects the money and pushes his social justice warrior narrative onto the peasants (Steeler Nation).
If the Steeler fans had any sense, they would boycott the team, no tickets no merch until a change in head coach is made. At the end of another mediocre season last year, the owner waited until the Summer to release that he had signed Coach Numbnuts in the Woodpile for 3 more years at 16 million per.
Tomlin couldn't run a bordello with excited participants. He would find a way to screw that up.

I am not a Steeler fan but am related to many who are. They are more of the pitch fork variety now and expect their team to win at least a few playoff games every decade. Your type of calm reaction is in the minority from what I am hearing in the local Pittsburgh media and from boots on the ground Pittsburghers.
I have a feeling that the 20K waiting list for season tickets will take a massive hit in the years to come. After a time, clamoring for the chance to watch hapless losers play will impact Art the Lesser's bottomline. He is 72 so sooner than later, the old fool will be stepping down. Perhaps his son Daniel Martin Rooney will have more sense than his franchise killing Father.
It is my fond hope that the Steelers lose every game in 2025. If you have a problem with that, I have two words for you
