Cant see the skins winning this one whether its at home, away, or on the moon. Just too much to ask for this offense to overcome a giants D that is still extremely tough. Turnoverasauras Rex Grossman just got named the week 1 starter to no surprise, and doesnt really pose any sort of threat to the giants at all this week. Even without Osi, and an extremely banged up secondary I still look for the Giants to dominate this from the opening kickoff. Eli and the Giants offense will be able to do whatever they want throughout this game. Between ahmad and jacobs running the ball to airing it out to nicks and manningham its just gonna be too much for an already weak skins D especially with starting S Laron Landry's status "in-doubt". Look for the Giants to come out strong outta the gate and disprove Rex Grossmans thoughts of being a serious nfc east contender. Especially, on an emotionally charged 9/11 NYC memorial sunday...GIANTS -3 Lock it up

Totally agree, however, being a huge G-men homer, it's hard to look at this game without any bias. I'll play this game small anyway.

Didn't even think about the 9/11 angle. Giants under Coughlin start the year hot pretty often, and this year shouldn't be any different when you look at the schedule.

Also waiting for the player props. Could be good value on Manningham's receiving yards since the Skins gave up more 20+ yard passing plays than anyone else in football last year.

Umm, objectivity would be nice.

The Giants have so many injuries on defence. Plus, Eli Manning throws more interceptions than jenna Jameson sex partners.

Redskins win this one outright. When the NYG get healthy, they have potential. Not yet.

The Giants do have injuries (Osi is now out) but still will have a great pass rush. Grossman under duress is never good news.

Skins simply do not have the personnel to take advantage of the Giants depleted secondary. They have 1 WR and will likely have to keep Cooley on the line to block a lot since Grossman has always had issues holding the ball too long.

Giants have an underrated receiving core that will cause the Skins fits vertically down the field. On top of that, look for Beckum and Bradshaw to exploit Kerrigan underneath in the passing game, as he is in his infancy as far as learning to stand up and play coverage.

Eli has played like complete shit so far in the preseason, but we've seen this act before, and he'll have at least an above average game here.

And I haven't mentioned Jacobs at all, who notoriously has gashed the Skins over the years.

BTW, I'm not a Giants fan.

I also like NYG all day despite their secondary issues and no OSI Umenyiora.  I understand the concern with Eli's turnovers, BUT have you Redskins backers forgotten why Rex Grossman hasnt been a starting caliber quarterback in the last 4 years? What am i missing? Is this a square play on NYG??

I mentioned injuries, its still a better defense than what rex can handle. The dline is still stout. Tuck, pierre-paul, kiwanuka switched to olb, boley in the middle, and aaron ross is still healthy at DB. The redskins dont have enough weapons to compete and the Giants have too many for the skins to handle. Not sure where the love is for the skins...not gettin it

I saw that too, 8-1-1 ATS in those 10. And tyranasaurua rex at starting qb only makes it better

Its an NFC East battle and will be a close game throughout.  I think the Giants defense does not get exploited by this Skins team and they get the W.  I think it is closer than anticipated though.

And you could be right about it being closer than anticipated but the 3 points is enough to get my dick rock hard, and the W is more important

giants pass rush without osi is still a force.  but, eli sucks and will give the skins a chance in this.  be careful.  i would not trust that retart eli with my $.  its like the movie twins with arnold and danny devito.  peyton got the good genes and eli got all the crap.  he even looks retarded when he talks.

I hear ya, he had too many turnovers last season, but its a new season and with every year most qbs improve. Hell cut down on the turnovers this year, and without as many turnovers last season hed be called a top 5 qb in the league. 4000 yards and 31 tds, if he can cut down on the turnovers theres no doubt in my mind hell start getting mentioned more as an elite qb. And against the skins, its not gonna matter. Skins maybe put up 10 points

The Giants are a worse team than last year. I like WAS to surprise.

Definitely not a lock, as you alluded to earlier. If I had to pick one "lock," I'd say ATL to cover the spread against Chicago. But, I never bet heavy in Week 1. I like to learn a bit more about the teams.

Ok, in terms of a better matchup its a lot better of a matchup for the giants than it is for the falcons playing the bears. And its about as close to a lock as there is in a week 1 matchup between a team that always finishes in last place in the division. Midway thru the season in DC theres gonna be a lotta words flying around and one of them is going to be "rebuilding" cuz beck will get his fair share of starts this year. And once again, without laron landry eli is going to have a fairly easy time with the number of weapons he has offensively. Who do the skins have besides santana moss, and helu, and hightower? donte stallworth? Dude killed a man. Gaffney? cmon, these are backups at best. Very one sided matchup, but your opinions are your opinions and thats "why they play the game"
