It's week three and that means that it is time to start betting for me. I never bet the first two weeks in order to gain more information about the changes that teams have made. I usually wager between 1 and 5 units per game. I will provide small writeups with my plays but if you ask I can delve deeper. BOL all!
Tennessee -3 +115 (4 units)
Look at San Diego's travel pattern here. Travel across the nation to play Philly last week fly back and now fly back across most of the country to play in Nashville. Add on top that they just played Philly. Not because Philly is any good because they aren't but they can still wear you out especially in an emotional back and forth games. I can get into more but for time space I will stop now. Not sold on the Chargers at all.
*Note: If for some reason this bet is anywhere near the losing side at half I will bet Tenn 2H because San Diego can't close games!
Baltimore +1 -110 (4 units)
Couple of short notes. Revenge. Duane Brown injury more important to this than Ray Rice not playing. Houston coming off OT win. Ray Lewis back in Balty for the weekend. Balty puts up some points today.
Detroit/Washington Over 49 (2 units)
I would be on Detroit but I have a rule. It's simple. Never trust your money in the hands of Stafford/Schwartz. We are talking about two defenses that can't play defense. I expect Bell to kill it in Bush's absence. If RG3 ever needed a big game to shut people up... it would come against the Lions D.
New York Giants -3 (2 units)
Just in case some of you think a 6 or 7 pt teaser sounds good with Giants. Stop. Now. Eli Manning does not belong in teasers. The man turns the ball over that when you are the most confident in him he will lose the game by 23. That said, I can't see the Giants dropping to 0-3 and Cam Newton has been struggling with chemistry issues with his playcaller. Add on top that Carolina is starting pretty much a practice squad secondary and Eli looks a lot better. Can't forget about the emotion the Giants will have in playing for their coaches loss.
Jax TT U10.5 -125 (5 units)
LOL. Let's see if the D2 team can score on Alabama. If you can't put up points against the Raiders then you sure as hell aren't putting up more than 10 in Seattle. It's that simple.
Pittsburgh +3 -110 (3 units)
I can't see Pitt going to 0-3 and I love them as a prime time home dog. Both teams are interesting in a bad way so far so lets watch the garbage and laugh while we make some money.
