Am heavily leaning towards the Chargers on the moneyline. One caveat is that Herbert's ankle was rolled up on in the Carolina game but the x-rays are negative. More details to follow during the week. Easton Stick from North Dakota State is QB 2.
Potentially it could affect Herbert's movement in the pocket moving away from all that Steeler pocket pressure. Watt, Highsmith, Herbig and others can be wrecking crews especially at home.
I still prefer the Chargers in this one because the Steelers still don't generate enough points on offense and now they face a quality defense with Bosa, Mack and company that will cause Fields grief. Both teams run the ball well and stop the run. Should be an old fashioned rock 'em sock 'em kind of game.
In a battle of wits, I favor Harbaugh's meticulous game planning and he is no stranger to Justin Fields as he faced him during his college career. Harbaugh kept the team in Charlotte and will hold team practices there this week.
So the LA SuperChargers ML it is.

don't be fooled by chargers 2-0 record. look at who they played. as long as tj watt healthy, hes gonna wreck the game by himself. i dont think pitts is all that great either. their offense is boring because they're trying to limit fields mistakes. you act like steelers never seen dobbins/edwards before.

Disagree, but GL. No way the Steelers lose at home here. They'll shut Dobbins down and do just enough on offense to win.
But will they shut down Herbert's passing attack in crunch time? Should be a close game but the Steelers have scored 18 and 13 so far this year and only averaged 17.9 points per game all of last year in the regular season.
The Charger D is elite too and against this anemic Pitts' offense, that doesn't have the stones to throw over the middle, it should be an easier task to shut them down IMO.
Will the ghosts of Christmas past and Harbaugh's QB tricks come to haunt Fields on Sunday? Jim Harbaugh is one of the very few masterminds left in the NFL and he will prove it again this year.
Justin Fields is doin' tricks and getting fixed, he's back on boogie street, for now but will hand over the reigns to Russ one of these weeks (but I am pulling for him) as I root for the underdog, for those long suffering.

Both coaches are atop of the league when it comes to coaching. This will be a hard hitting grinder of a game. Definitely one that I don't want to miss this Sunday. Nor do I think it is the best game on the board to invest $ in pre flop.
I could see opportunities for live bettors getting a plus $ ML in-game wager on both sides at the right times. Then sit back and relax and do nothing, get a little scratch while watching a good ball game.

Justin Fields is ready to have his meltdown game. I think the Steelers are overrated and the chargers are underrated. Herbert turns it over less than 90% of the league. If the chargers play a clean game and put 21 on the board I think they take this one no problem.

I trust Harbaugh's game plan for this one. If it comes down to one drive at the end of the game, I will take Herbert to engineer it. Fields managed only 62 yards of offense in the second half and were it not for a Corey Trice interception in the end zone, the Broncos may well have won that game.

Two things to note, Quentin Johnson finally started catching the ball. Idk what Harbaugh did, threatened his family with poverty or what, but dude has been solid this year. That helps the Chargers immensely if you don’t remember he has had stone hands ever since entering the NFL.
Second one is Harbaugh stayed on the East Coast this week, such as most coaches do these days when they have multi-game road trips to across the country.
I don’t see how the Steelers can score as many points as the Chargers with Fields at QB. They played a weak game plan Atlanta, one that did zero snaps under center nor any play action pass plays that game.
About who the Chargers have played, The Raiders just beat the Ravens. In Baltimore. Remember the team everyone thought should have beat the Chiefs last year. They held the Panthers to 3 points. Herbert only threw the ball 20 times with 14 completions, 2 TD’s and a pick. He did have two turnovers which, he probably will have at least one but the Chargers defense is legit and are a top 5 overall team in the NFL.

TB Bucs -6.5(two teams headed in opposite directions) No doubt that Broncos' D is getting worn down and on offense, who do they have besides Courtland Sutton? I am thrilled for both Baker Mayfield and Derek Carr tasting the finer side of life.

Dobbins has 3 starts versus the Steelers and he has gashed them all 3 times. With a better oline, why won't he gash them again? Harbaugh will run the ball directly at TJ Watt and we'll see who wrecks who. I can't wait to see this game unfold.

Raiders played them hard like always. Chargers had a get back game from getting blown out last year like bums! Panthers are trash! So they have played 1 solid team out of two weeks. Slow the breaks.

Depends on how you measure success. My inlaws (Pittsburghers all) think Tomlin is a fine man but they also think that his career has ended up being mediocre because of a lack of playoff success. MT hasn't won a playoff game since the 2016 season and they haven't been in a Superbowl since the 2010 season and haven't won a Superbowl since the 2008 season.
If entertainment, classical sound bites during interviews, and participation trophies are what matters, then Tomlin is a raving success, but if post season glory is how you measure success then he is seriously lacking in those departments.
This especially holds true for my ancient relatives who experienced the dynasty years and the first half of Big Ben's career. I know some franchises have never tasted glory at all and some suck for decades but Steeler Nation has a higher standard and it isn't just not having a losing season...they would and I would say big whoopee.
Jim Harbaugh can coach up and inspire QB play. What did Kaepernick do after Harbaugh left San Fran?
Tomlin's area of expertise is supposed to be defensive back play. I can't name one DB over the years that he actually coached up who wasn't great when they hit town. So many over the years have been busts. Aside from Joey Porter jnr the strength of that secondary now are almost all from other teams.
Also in big games, he is out coached and I expect it to happen tomorrow. How did Tomlin do against Belichick/Brady? They never won one game in the playoffs against them.
Tomlin never makes in-game adjustments either and his clock management blows. He also was a poor judge of QB talent. Why did they not even offer Mason Rudolph a contract? I have my own theory on that one and no doubt you would NOT like it.
Tomlin will NEVER lead the Steelers to another Superbowl yet he has a team with great talent. What did he do with Ben, AB, and Bell? I could go on and on. Of course there are a lot of mediocre head coaches in the league. Aside from Andy Reid who are the great ones?
