Got my bags packed. Getting up crazy early for airport tomorrow. Hopefully I can get to halftime tonight before I crash.
I locked Houston at a PK yesterday morning. I think the line is something like -6 now so I know that's a useless play to post on Covers. I heard that both Luck AND hasslebeck could be out for the game. Not sure why BetOnline had the game even on the board, but I'm guessing because it was the TNF and I took advantage of it.
Locked up a few games that I most likely won't watch until Tuesday afternoon after work(NFL package short cuts are awesome). Im usually very big on cutting down JUICE, but with my situation coupled with not really liking the card, my hand was forced. With exception of Houston, all games wound up being -120 and I hate that, but it is what it is.
Arizona -2.5 -120.
TB -2.5 -120.
SD -3 -120.
Kinda chalky too looking at them. Arizona.....they laid an egg last week and props to the Rams guys who were on the other side. Part of me felt that Zona outplayed them for pretty much the entire game(I think it took the Rams 25 minutes to get a first down and at that point in the game they were WINNING 7-6), but I can't deny their defense was excellent in the red zone and they came out and went toe to toe in a slugfest. I stlll stand behind my Zona play and would make the same bet if they played again next week, but I wouldn't be nearly as confident in the play. Rams had two legit drives(the latter being a full field drive late to seal it), so they made those drives COUNT. Between those two drives, some horrible turnovers, a couple key dropped balls, and that's all the Rams needed to pull the upset.
My initial instinct was to avoid Zona after such a physical draining game and then they go on the road again, but watching the way the Lions lost and watching them in their own physical game....taking another shot on the Cards.
TB.....Winston has been making crazy mistakes, but overall he's been competitive. They moved the ball all game against a stout Panther defense, and take away the 76 turnovers, that was NOT the blowout it looked like. I think they can take care of business here.
SD I believe I gave my thoughts already on it.
Good luck to all this week. Again, if u see my posts the last decade or so on Covers....I'm not a guy who eats -120 juice and especially not 3 games out of 4 on a card. If I wasn't going on vacation, I probably wind up getting TB under 3 and -110 and if I had to choose -3 -110 or -2.5 -120, I would take -3. Same with Zona.
Also bet Royals -140 to win this series against Houston. With Keuchel going yesterday, they will only see him once this series barring a desperation game 5 spot off very short rest. Tonight Mchugh on the mound. He's a guy who gets a lot of K's....relies on those K's, but he's not an overpowering guy. He has low 90's heat, but a deceptive delivery and nice off speed stuff gets him lots of K....but the Royals are a team that just don't strike out much. I hit my goal in baseball in late July, so I haven't been exactly up on things, but unless the Royal offense became a bunch of free swingers, I would guess the Royals are a top team in NOT striking out. Take that out of McHughs Arsenal, and right off the bat, they should jump on him and take game 1(royals pen lethal with a lead). I'm thinking they sweep the Astros this series. In baseball, I'm not a chalk guy(I'm more of a small fav/small dog/ abd huge dog guy in the right spots) and -140 is my absolute limit whether a game or series, but I think it's worth it here.
Enough babbling from me. GL to everyone and make some bank this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to sneak a peek at some NFL at the hard rock. My buddies wedding is 4pm Sunday, so I'm thinking Sunday morning will be a sleep in, hopefully have a network channel like FOX in my hotel, and see a little 1pm action before I get dressed and get out for the day.
