Looking at some week one upsets...ML plays any thoughts?
1. Bears +225 over the Falcons. Probably wait on this as I expect the public to pound Atlanta and push this line higher. My thought on this is that new OC Sarkisian ain't Shanahan, and SB losses can be a tough hangover to get over early in the season. It's a stretch but it speaks to my underdog heart...
2. Ravens +120 over the Bengals. Not much of an upset as it's a divisional game with the spread currently less than a FG. I feel the Ravens are an underrated team and are a dark horse for SB contention at 40-1 odds. Harbaugh is the better coach. Flacco is the better QB.
3. Seahawks +140 over the Packers. Traditional GB slow start against a Seattle team that is much more consistent on both sides of the ball.
4. 49ers +200 over the Panthers. Shanahan calling the plays for SF. I would expect a conservative game plan while he figures out what he's working with. Combine that with a pretty decent defense that can get Cam Newton off his game - we all know what happens to Cam when he gets frustrated. This is more an anti-Carolina play than anything else.
GL on the season everybody.

My initial lean is taking Bears +points and shot at ML. and Ravens but now I'm not so sure about it yet if our retooled secondary can handle AJ Green we might have a chance.
Sip on that plus money honey!

Digital karma, I have a lot of respect for your opinion, and I'm steering clear of Baltimore. I don't like their chances this year at all.
Did you have that thought even before all the injuries occurred? Seems like it could be an ominous year for the Ravens.. how can it get any more weirder than Justin Tucker missing back to back field goals in practice?
Anyway. never before have i seen so many season ending injuries from this team in one week..and just from training camp alone.. but this is nothing new for them they have had hard luck with injuries and suspensions and whatnot since 2013.. Ravens are probably right up there in leading the league in those two categories which has definitely played a factor in them missing the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years. This could be the day where some of Ozzie's bad draft choices(Matt Elam) and trades(Eugene Monroe??) and overpaying Flacco will finally come back to haunt them.

Flacco is hurt I am surprised the line hasn't moved more.
Flacco's prognosis has improved a bit. i wouldn't be surprised if he comes back a week earlier than expected and is the starter for week 1. game was off the board for a couple days since news on Flacco broke, and when it came back on, the line went up a by a hook.
