I live in Atlanta and haven't seen/heard this much excitement for the Falcons since the Matt Ryan superbowl days.
What's not to like? They picked up Cousins in FA. Drafted Pennix. Kyle Pitts and Drake London finally have someone to get them the ball. Bijan Robinson back for his 2nd year.
Picked up Judon and Simmons for an already solid defense.
Playing in what might be the worst division in Football. What could be better right?
In comes a Steelers team who many are questioning whether Tomlin is still the right coach. Coupled with a QB storyline that has been a soap opera.
I personally think the narrative around Russell Wilson being a game time decision is a smoke screen. Not only do I believe Fields starts today I think the team wants him to start. Fields coming back to GA where he was a HS legend and I personally think he gives the Steelers their best chance to win.
I will more than likely bet this one in-game after I see a bit of the game play out. Also just in case Russ does walk out as the starter.
I'd be real careful with all the Falcons love, I personally think it may take a while for this team with all the new pieces.

I love Pittsburgh today...wow...This spread is surprising to me, I mean 3 @ the most seems about right but I'm not sure it should even be 3, Yeah, The Steelers offense don't look good, young o line and a washed up Wilson,I myself would love to fade Wilson today but I can't, The Steelers Have a SB defense this year, additions of inside linebacker Patrick Queen and strong safety DeShon Elliott from the Ravens,Queen will wear the green dot this year and that is huge, the Steelers have the priciest defense in the NFL – and the cost is only going up. Stars are everywhere on this side of the ball – TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cameron Heyward, Alex Highsmith and Joey Porter Jr. – just to name a few.... There is also some things to fire up the Steelers somewhat,Arthur Smith the steelers oc was just fired from the Falcons,And he will bring some inside knowledge of the players...and the falcons put out a image of a falcon bird flying off with a terrible towel with steelers d grabbing after it, little things but it plants a seed in some fans and Steelers minds.... I think this is going to be a ugly game,The steelers love ugly defensive games, they are great at it....Raheem Morris is 24-38 as a head coach,he is 14 games below .500 ...The Steelers are 15-2 vs Atlanta....Kirk Cousins is 16-47 against winning teams, Steelers are 0-0 .500 :) there will be thousands of steeler fans at this game diminishing a big HF advantage...
Under 42 x2....I don't usually do O/Us but this game is gonna be a really ugly defensive game...

While I don't think Fields is a long term option, I think he's PERFECT for this game. Use his fresh legs to stay mobile. Run the football. A few long shots to Pickens and let that defense keep them in the game.
