What exactly were 24 and 37 doing on that one?

the two GB DB's slowed on the 10.  on a hail mary, all of the action is happening in the end zone.  they never made it there.  how often do you see a hail mary when the NYG receivers (3) outnumber the GB defenders (2)

that's fine but the quick out with 6 seconds on the clock is going to become apparent within 2 seconds, these idiots were jogging on the 10 yard line well after that.  shouldn't they have made their way into the end once it was obvious after two seconds that it was a hail mary.

Agreed. Very much an indication of just how lazy and ineffective this defense is. Like vanzack says, these teams are going down. You can win a SB with a somewhat bad defense, but not a really bad and lazy defense.

yeah, i read that and said i didn't see how GB wins the championship with their defense.  however, i did think they'd have enough to win this one.

what bothered me more than the ridiculous end to the half was the several times they rushed manning with 3 and got beat every time.  matthews is the best player on defense.  if you rush 3, matthews gets doubled or tripled.  it takes him out of the play and also tires him out because he doesn't stop.  why would they continue to do that when it's clear it marginalizes their best player and also wasn't working. 

and balt had2 big breaks to score 2 tds  ...that ain't happening with ne

i'm not sold on NE's defense after belichik put a gameplan to shut down a one dimensional team with the worst playoff qb in history after having played him once and with two weeks to prepare.  be careful assuming NE's defense is legit after that one. 

back to this disaster.  i wanted this to be a 17-13 GB halftime lead so i could get out or at least a 13-10 BYG lead and a GB TD on their first drive so i could get out. 

rushing 3 tells me GB has no idea what to do with their defense in this one.  the inside kick confirmed that for me. 

now i'm stuck with my GB bet, but i deserve to lose. 

Yeah - agree with the criticism of the inexplicable strategy of letting Manning stand back there.

I think they will start to rush more - but with the lead the Giants will start to run in to the heavier rush.

Im all but castrated.  These bets are one tenth of what they were 5 years ago.  Im just biding time waiting for something in the industry to break - because the cost and risk now is too much for me to do anything except bet enough to keep informed and my head in the game.

I have had thoughts of just packing it in and finding something else to do with the rest of my life.   Not giving in just yet, but Im halfway there anyway - sometimes I wonder - I just doubt it will ever be 2003 again....

yeah, for my purposes. just doing this for fun, it's a pain but doesn't change too much.  but i know you're on a different program.

I liked it a helluva lot better when they could steal their parents credit cards and bet on matchbook. How else can you explain getting Obama -210 the day before election day.

No doubt,,, that S.F./ N.O. last half of the 4th yesterday would've been a wet dream for me on the old Matchbook,  i kept thinking that as it was playing out. 

yeah, those kinds of games weren't always good to me but it would be nice to have the option.  this NYG/GB is the kind of game i liked, where it is clear from early on what kind of game we have but people don't want to believe the favorite is a false favorite until it's too late. 

Don't get me wrong,, for every cash cow like yesterdays finish would've been,, there were/are just as many bloodletting, profit destroying endings where I lost my ass by overbetting on the +money, and the team leading just cruised to the finish as predicted.
