They would have cut away and never showed the replay no chance in a 100 million years they stop the Super Bowl mid game.

What if it happened at Any big American business in the middle of a busy shit. Are they sending everyone home and shutting down until futher notice. I doubt it. Wal mrt sure wouldn't

I personally dont like that they canceled it.  It sucks for sure, but the show must go on no matter how troubled they feel.  You give em a win one for the gipper speech and play thru.  I've been at a car racing event where a guy most likely died on impact and the race went on.  Everyone gets in their feels, does what they need to do right away, but say your prayers and finish out strong.  Its not like they didnt know these things can happen, its part of what they do.

They were more worried of the bad PR from it.

I think they are not going to play the game because they don’t want to talk about what happened for 3 hours. They would have to mention something about the vaccine

That's a great question if it happened in SB. Wow, what a scenario that would be...

I worked with a guy that went into a seizure, I didn't know it wasn't a heart attack, I called 911. Ambulance came, they took him away, we kept working, I'm pretty sure I went to work the next day and the day after. I didn't suffer PTSD from it either. Funny how the real working world treats this very differently. I know it's not the same being a thoroughbred professional athlete with deep feelings about everything and I know watching someone get the paddles has to be traumatizing so it was the right thing to do not to play last night.

This is a horrible situation and the league has been so feminized, this is what you get in 2023. Just curious, if this happens in 1985, does it play out the same way?

They should've came back today or tomorrow and played, move the week 18 games for Buffy & Cincy to Monday night. To just wash your hands of the entire game just doesn't feel right to me. I feel for Hamlin but this is a professional business and "the show must go on", since we're talking about $billions and if this was week 3, they could work it out. I don't think it's fair to anyone (fan or player) to just not play it.

The Super Bowl is the final game of the season.  There would be no substantial problems with playing next week from the players' standpoint; however fans wouldn't want to rebook flights and lodging.

Maybe, just maybe, the NFL and their public relations unit is recalling what happened almost 24 years ago at Kemper Arena with Owen Hart?

A 24 year old athlete has a heart attack from a regular tackle.  It appears to me they stopped the game because the powers that be had to come up with their talking points which are 1.  All about the player and wishing him well, 2. Find an expert to explain away that this tackle was at that 1 millisecond when the heart is vulnerable to a heart attack from such a hit and now 3. That the nfl players put their life on the line and we should appreciate them. 

If you talk about anything else, your talking points are discarded.  I also believe MacWestie is correct that pro sports and our society have been feminized.  I also believe that the CIA/FBI are embedded in all of our media and they must control the talking points and narrative.  To have allowed the game to continue would have taken the chance that the narrative and talking points would go off script.

Does anyone really believe that the NFL cares about anything except for money? How long did the NFL try to obscure CTE?   Does anyone see the NFL telling tua he can't play anymore?  For God's sake, we watched on TV as the tua's hands crimped from his neurological injuries post tackle...   Goodell is a stooge playing to the tune of a director just like with allowing kneeling for the flag but never bringing back kaperdick into the NFL.  Just my 2 cents.

The accidental death of 1 person would be unfair to millions of people and millions of dollars. The victim wouldn't want the game to stop because of him. 

Maybe the NFL will hire Dr. Phil on a retainer for the SB and if it happens, he will blow some smoke up their butts in order to get them back onto the field to finish the game.
He will then tell them that he has been advised that if they don't, they won't be paid for the game. No doubt that will light a fire under them to do their job, you know, the one they signed up for. 

Good lawd people, not everything is a conspiracy theory.  some of you really really need to get a grip. 

if this had happened during the Super Bowl, they likely would have stopped the game there too.  just like in Buf/Cin game, players and coaches would not have wanted to keep playing.  much like most of you (and sadly not all of you), would have stopped everything if this had happened to a loved one.
