Hey guys so I am sorta new to this betting thing. I just got into it last year. So my big question is: how many games do you guys pick on the average for your parlays?
The reason I ask is I think I have been trying to do too much. Since the season started I have been trying to do 7-8-9 game parlays thinking I'm a know it all NFL expert. Out of the 7-9 games, most are moneyline so I only pick 2-3 teams to cover.
What is usually the cut off number for you guys for number of games to pick?

Im no expert either, but I try to limit my parlays to 2 or 3 games. I don't think I would ever do one with more than 5 bets. They 9 game parlay may have an awesome payout, but unless you got inside information you're not gonna hit 9 games in the NFL.

yep, stick with 2 team or 3 at the most if youre betting serious money, like a full unit or more...only do those massive 9 leg type ones just for shi.ts'n'giggles/entertainment only and count it as your lucky day if it ever hits..clearly odds are stacked hugely against it,even using only ML's...but do not risk hardly anything on them unless you got cash to just throw around.

Stop betting parlays or only a two teamer. Straight bets only, ONLY!!! Even if you are betting small; just bet more straight bets if you want to play a lot of games. The payouts look so enticing with parlays, but they will bite you in the behind. How rough it can be when you hit 2 out of 3, or 3 out of 4!! That would be a combined 5 wins and two losses.....A straight bettor would take 5-2 every week and quit his job. I have been betting parlays for years, as well as normally having more winners than losers (see my classic 2 out of 3 tickets)- yet I know how foolish I am doing that. I want what everyone wants- low risk: high yield. I bet I hit around 65%, but I am down for the year with my stupid, stubborn parlays because I don't want to risk say a 220 to win 200. Instead I bet a 3 teamer for $50 that pays $300 and returns my $50....How is that working out?? Not so good, especially when you consider I pick more winners. I also do my homework, but continue to be a fool!! Last night I had Texas ml plus 210, Colts plus 5, and USC in the 1st half -9.5 for my typical $50 3 teamer. A brilliant hunch on Texas, a no brainer with the Colts (thought the game should have been a pick em', and just thought USC would roll. Anyway, Texas would of paid more than 2-1, then Indy would of cancelled my error/loss on USC and I would have made over a hundred. But my dumbass took another losing parlay, as well as making me feel stupid. Like I said IMO ONLY BET STRAIGHT!!! Now if I would only listen to myself!!
