Seattle Seahawks have an internal civil war and it's between Bevill and Wilson and Lynch and Harvin, etc.
Half the team is split between these two players, I've followed this team very carefully...
Lynch hates Bevell, and Seahawks have major issues with Wilson and his quick rise to stardom.
Lynch has a public appearance that he's the bad guy, but it's actually Wilson that is greedy and spoiled. Wilson is NOT the future of this team, and more Seahawks fans will see that once Lynch leaves and the defense doesn't perform...
The play call in the end was a "Gift" to wilson....They were going to let Wilson have first shot, then Lynch...and it backfired.
The only explanation for that play call is the fact that Bevell wanted Wilson to have the glory, and Lynch was the back up plan.
Bevell needs to be fired ASAP. And lynch needs to be signed, this team has about two year window to win another super bowl, after that, it's over...NFL is designed to eat teams up quickly once they continue being successful.

Tdog25... You don't know football... Your theory is lame... If this was true then Wilson would have gotten the opportunity to throw on 1st down.. But NO... Lynch got the carry and was stopped. On the 1 yard line.. The whole world was expecting another run... Seahawks tried a quick pass because New England's defense was playing the run.. Wilson pass was an inch too ahead of the receiver and the New England defender got to the spot 1st... IMO it was a better defensive play than a bad offensive play...
But your theory about who Seattle wanted to be MVP of the game is preposterous !!!!

It makes sense. At first, I was thinking the hawks probably figured they had the game in the bag. 3 downs to get 1 yard? So they let RW take a shot at the endzone and the MVP. Everything works out for SEA. Their golden boy QB gets the MVP and everyone in the org is happy. But heres another angle:
Everyone knows Lynch hates talking to the media, whether its the attention or the spotlight. I can understand what thats like to some degree. There are people just don't like the spotlight, but not when it comes to playing the game. Its possible that maybe Lynch went to Pete and RW and told them to take a shot at the endzone first and if they don't get it, he'll punch it in on 3rd or 4th down. Pete and RW probably looking like him like hes crazy, but they get it. He doesn't really want the TD because then he'd have to go to the podium and accept the mvp trophy from the man who's fined him $189371289712329878923. In a perfect world, Lynch would get the TD and let someone else soak in the glory and the mvp, but if he punched it in, he most likely would have gotten the MVP for his 2 TDs. Pete, the players coach is thinking okay we'll take this shot and if we get it, great. If we don't its just a wasted play, but at the end of the day, they do it to appease Beastmode knowing it will buy them some clout when it comes time to extending him over the offseason. Obviously no one expected RW to get picked. At worst, the pass would have been incomplete and then they'd run it in. It was interesting that the whole team questioned the call to throw it, except for RW, Pete, and Lynch.
Of course, I can also see RW being a little selfish and taking a shot at the TD and the MVP because he didn't get it last year. Pete is obviously not going to throw RW under the bus because they need to get him signed in the offseason so hes taking one for the team.

Is it? An unfiltered Beastmode who couldnt givafock up at the podium receiving the MVP trophy from the commish on live tv would be a nightmare for the NFL. 3 downs to get a yard. You don't think they were thinking about their options? Its not like theyve never tossed in a 1 yard td before either. Stats supported the throw. I think Lynch only made it in 1 out of 4 or 5 times in the same situation over the season?
Personally I wouldve ran it or had RW run it in, but it makes for interesting angles and discussions to last us for a while til preseason.

Everyone in the world expected Lynch to get the ball there so I'm not baffled by their strategy.........however some sort of play action would have made more sense to me, ie good idea but bad choice of plays. It left Wilson with no options after the ball was snapped. It was do or die & the DB made a good play.
Harvin was let go because he is a cancer..........many of the Minny fans here warned us Seattle fans about him & they were right.

You are one of few that see it clearly. Totally agree. Had Wilson passed it to the chest or maybe a tiny bit behind, that may have been a catch and possible TD. It was a good play call, just better defense on Butler's end.
Lynch had his shot, no dice. A first grader speaks better than him.
