One of the biggest reasons the Rams will have a hard time winning the NFC championship is because of their secondary. If they could shut down Thomas they might have a chance but in my opinion they do not have the personnel to do it.
Next reason is the loss of slot receiver Cooper kupp. I'm sorry but Patriot cast off brandin Cooks it's strictly a home run hitter. Robert woods is capable, but either he or Cooks will be covered by shut down specialist Marcus lattimore.
Jared Goff is a serviceable quarterback at best and I think is still a year away. He did not impress much against Dallas.I did not see him throw the ball doem fieldfor even look deep.Just 15-20 yard passes and if they fall behind and he has to throw it long I don't think he's capable of doing so. Again we're talkin about mediocre deep-ball threat brandin Cooks here.
I would say at placekicker Zuerlein is one of the best but Lutz is not far behind.I would give the Rams The edge at punter. As I stated earlier you have to give the edge to New Orleans at wide receiver, at running back with the addition of CJ Anderson .I would say they are even with kamara and Ingram.
At defense I think von Bell ,Williams , Lattimore,Demario Davis and Eli Apple get the edge over Donald,Mark Barron Littleton ,Joyner and the over rated Peters and aqib talib.
If Johnny hekker can do his thing so Brees has to work a little harder inside his own 10-yard line, and the Rams running backs can run the clock and keep Brees off the field they've got a chance. But..
Bottom line is Rams secondary and the loss of Cooper kupp.Stopping Kamara, stopping Thomas and stopping the best quarterback in the league , on the road no less is a very tall order.
I do have a financial interest to gain if the Rams were to pull it off. a wager I made early in the year.Just thought I'd mention that.

From Weeks 1 through 12 of the 2018 season, Drew Brees was arguably the best quarterback in the NFL. He completed 272 of 356 passes (an unfathomable 76.4% competition rate) for 3,135 yards, 29 touchdowns and two interceptions.
From Weeks 13 through 16, Brees’ completion rate dropped to 69.2%, his yards per attempt went from 8.8 to 6.4, and his passer rating dropped from a league-best 127.3 to 84.7—from first to 19th in the NFL. And after that blazing 29/2 touchdown-to-interception ratio in the first 12 weeks, Brees threw for three touchdowns and three interceptions total in the last four games he played.

I do not trust Brees to be able to put this game away.https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2019/01/12/the-all-22-where-did-drew-brees-game-go/From Weeks 1 through 12 of the 2018 season, Drew Brees was arguably the best quarterback in the NFL. Jared Goff "is serviceable" ?????"He is at least a year away" ????Let's see...where is Goff now............OHHHH, one game away from taking his team to the Super Bowl.Yeah, you're definitely thinking of Dak Prescott, Cousins, Smith or Bortles.Stick to your day job. This whole "analyst" thing ain't for you.

I guess we're all ignoring the fact that the Rams proved once this year already they can't play for sh!t at MB Superdome. And that was back at a point in the season when they were looking like favorites to win it all.

Good stuff guys. At the beginning of the year I envied guys in my league that drafted Goff in Fantasy. Even thought this could be a break out year and said watch out -possible mvp potential.
Well,not even close.
Yeah Im no analyst. Just honest opinion. They've had a fine year. Just one or two players away. And get Kupp back healthy.!
Cooler Good one. But Apple is only 23 years old and appears to be getting his life straightened out with lots of potential.
Oh,thee other game. Coin flip.
Brady running out of fingers for all these Super Bowl rings or [1st Rookie?] leads Chiefs to a Super Bowl. Not sure if he gets the job done though. Well be fun to watch. Enjoy the Games
