I have absolutely zero discipline withdrawing winnings. I do very well building my account but then greed and unrealistic expectations set in. Then I proceed to lose all of it. It's awful and I need to be cured of this brutal affliction.
If you make say a 200 dollar deposit. When do you guys remove funds?

Only plays 2-3 games per week, about about $200 each, if there’s A profit, I usually take back 50% of it ,if not leave my balance in tact which I try to keep at approximately $1000 at all times

I'm 1-9 last 3 weeks. Down well over $15k this year. Haven't won more than 3 bets in a row all year. I bet conservatively which makes this losing year even worse. I only bet 2-3 games a week and they all lose. I never play huge favorites or huge dogs. Sometimes I take a week or two off. Currently on a 3 bet losing streak. Last bet was under 44 NYJ/MIN. I haven't made a withdrawal all year since I always lose my deposit.

Same here. Actually a little more. I keep chasing and trying to break even on a huge run but it just doesn't happen.
I opened this thread to essentially find a way to not be such an idiot and realize it all happens in small increments.
Maybe none of us are capable of that because it just isn't fun. I hope you get on some sort of a winning streak.

Barstool. Interesting. amazing how actually having the money in some form off of a wager keeps us from unloading on a a bigger bet and dumping the account. Offshore books it's just a number on a screen much like a brokerage account.

People need to be careful with it too. In my country if they see even ONE deposit on your bank statement to a bookie site, you will never get a mortgage.
In the US everything runs on your credit rating and I bet deposits to bookies will eventually be a part of your report and a lot of people will be in serious doo doo.
I try to bet with paper tickets now too but since I'm not in the US it is a pain because the cashiers, they know NFL but they wouldn't even know how to pronounce Arkansas, they have to phone up to get the spread and it's just a pain. They have terminals with the games but they are a scam everything is offered at 5/6 instead of 10/11. However you can buy points cheap, a full point you can get either way at 4/5 which is cheap compared to the 5/6.
Since the bookies are closed by around 3 pm EST I have to have any bets that aren't online in by then, which actually helps. No last minute double ups or chasing. You make your picks and let the chips fall as they will. And no live betting which is a disaster and a great way to get middled usually.

For most bettors every deposit is a donation.

I deposit $1,000. I make $1,000 bets, if I make it to $4,000 I withdraw $3,000. If I don't, I take a 3-4 week break an wait for a dope prime time game to get back in.
I've done well for several years in a row. $5,000 - $10,000 an NFL season.
I consider my deposits "entertainment money".

I deposit $200-$500 and make $200-$500 bets. The problem for me is I always lose and never get a chance to string some wins together. In the past I would win some, lose some, but always have a chance to withdraw or keep pushing. Even in my inexperienced days of making dumb bets I would more often win more than lose. This year I lose my deposit on the first bet literally every time. Even taking a few weeks off doesn't help. And what stings is during those breaks my leans would often win. Then I would get confident my leans are winning and deposit again. Only to lose. This year has been rough. Never have had it this bad in my life. Seriously feels like someone cursed me. I wake up every morning feeling awful only to repeat it again week after week.
