The only thing that is rigged that is obvious to see, is that the players pretend to hate each other and to be dueling in a contest to the end.
The reality is, that it more a spectacle for entertaining, and the players, if you watch closely (often have to be at a game to see), the players laugh with each other, and mostly like each other. They know it is a GAME and itis PLAYED. I capitalized the words PLAY and PLAYERS and GAME because that is what we forget it is. It is never serious. It has drama, but that is buiilt up by promoters, by the NFL, by the announcers, sometimes the players, but they don't have to do that (like Joe Namath....those days are gone).
We are fooled that it is a totally honest battle. But the pro athletes cant hit a FG, cant make tackles they are paid to do, even when unblocked. Cant catch passes....They make dumb penalties.
They too are caught up in the acting. And they lose their heads. They are feeble mushy blood brain matter with weak neuron signals----they are not ice cold focused. They are "rigged" to be performers to entertain.
Washington won the coin toss and everyone participated in what was supposed to happen. No defending.....a little drama and suspense, because that get's us excited.....MAYBE something could go wrong....but oh wow! He made a TOUCHDOWN to win the game ! Hooray! Everyone is caught up in the "rigged" event.
This makes gambling on sports very hard to do.
There’s just no point. There were an incredible number of flags thrown on one team, several of them completely reversing the tide of the game.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they changed the status quo because so much live money came in.
That game was a total joke from a referee standpoint.
