Chargers/Saints?

Patriots/Saints?

New England/Philadelphia?


I think these would be the top 3 choices for the NFL.

Why would the NFL want Chargers?  Chargers have no fanbase.  They don't care about which storyline is better.  They care about money and viewership.  Chargers don't fit that at all.

 

Patriots/Chiefs/Colts vs.  Cowboys/Saints/Eagles

 

Those are the matchups the NFL wants ranked in order.

I don't think the league would mind a Chiefs/Rams rematch that rematch would get some nice ratings but I'm not to sure how the league feels about Kansas City this season, Mahomes would be excellent for ratings but with all the Kareem Hunt drama that went on with KC I don't know if the league wants the Chiefs this season

I didn't say I would rather have the Patriots, I said the NFL would rather have them which is true.  NFL doesn't want a Chargers team that has no fanbase.  Casual NFL fans have never even heard about Rivers. 

The Superbowl's entire goal is rope in casual NFL fans so they can view their overpriced commercials.  That is it's main function.

Way more casuals would tune in to see Brady than Rivers.

I'd also add  Chargers/Rams -- all L.A. Bowl.

It'll put LA's two newest teams in the national spotlight at the same time.

But I would rank that third after Patriots/Saints, Chargers/Saints.

I should also say that, as the old QB vets (Brady, Brees, Roethlisberger, and Rivers) start fading into the sunset, it makes sense for the newer crop of QBs to start taking center stage (Luck, Maholmes, Watson, and Goff).

So who knows what the NFL really wants.

Hopefully it'll just play out as the best team wins.

Doesn't matter at all what the NFL wants. The better teams will win. Simple as that.

I hope they decide in a fluke that the Redskins should be in the SB as they made a mistake scripting Dalls in playoffs; as the only team to play in a SB and win it without a QB

LAC vs NO.  They are going to give Rivers his ring.  Also, it puts LAC on the national stage and INCREASES their viewership and fan base as they are having a tough time selling private seat licences at their new stadium.

LBJ lost 4-0 in NBA finals 2x (to GS, to SA).
- oh the NBA wants 7 games blah blah blah - higher $$$, more ratings, more games, more tickets, more popcorn sold, blah blah.

People always look for a narrative.  If the NFL "wanted" a game - it would be NE vs DAL every year.

this sounds probable  but I think they could sell enough personal seating licenses if the chargers and the rams both made it to the AFC and NFC championship games. They will both be playing in the same stadium after it is built. Sorry NFL you are exposed as frauds. Leave nothing to chance when business money is involved. The Patriots vs chargers -4.5 line is suspect. Tom Brady goes down for the NFLs future profits. The last several years this crap goes on. A NFL team needs a new stadium that team at least makes it to the playoffs.examples the 49ers went to santa Clara, Atlanta Falcons to Mercedes benz, Minnesota Vikings to u.s bank. The future prospect teams are the raiders to vegas and the Bill's will get a new stadium soon. So put some future wagers on those teams.

Hey jack- as s. The NFL doesn't care who is in the SBowl. They have already got paid for the tv commercials. Everything is locked in. The NFL has and will continue to make billions off the SB just like they do every year. So it doesn't matter who is playing. It could be, insert any teams here, and the world would watch. Jeez! Yes sir, you are correct. These jack-offs on here think people won't the SB if a certain team makes it. 90% of fans who are at the game doesn't know or care who is playing. People watching TV at parties don't know or care who is playing. The NFL has already got paid for TV spots.  They don't care. They act like the SB will get a bad rating.
