If anyone else would have caught ball would been illegal Man downfield.  Ref. Had other guy reported as eligible. Nothing to bitch about. It was a mistake.

Naw he told the ref total bull shit this shit getting crazey.  Still won took under full and both teams.  But alot of money lines de town.  I played 10 games today made 475 total.  500 a game. Lions money - was going to be a pay off. Fk

Why illegal man downfield? If 68 reports and catches then there’s no problem right? 70, who the ref claims reported was in an ineligible position anyway 

They maybe could have called 'illegal formation' due to Decker being covered up on the line of scrimmage...but they didn't call that, instead it was called "illegal touching" since the ref said #70 reported, not #68. 

The ref should be drug tested then, because 68# was the only player to engage with him and #70 ended up lining next to the Center at Guard which indicates there was no reason for him to report as eligible since there is no possible way he can be since he lined up at Guard. 

The ref clearly fucked up, either out of stupidity or on purpose

Yea, as the official in the booth said... even if the right guy had reported eligible, there were still two other fouls on the play.

I think the penalty is getting too much attention, and not enough attention is being given to the horrible coaching (on both sides) at the end of this game. Worst of all was Campbell's decision to still go for 2 after that penalty.

3 guys (58. 68 and 70) all engaged with him and said something to him... don't know what they said, but why have 3 guys tell him, instead of just the one who is eligible?

The answer to that question is that they were trying to be sneaky about it so Dallas wouldn't get tipped off... but in being sneaky about it, they fucked themselves.

 I agree they were trying to be sneaky. Once he is reported eligible the ref. Has to report it to the other team. They were trying to confuse Dallas and they confused the ref.  And yes it would have been illegal man down field because 68 was never reported. That was my point moron.

Yes.... Very questionable having 3 linemen approach ref for one eligibility spot.... #70 veered away from referee very late... 

This. Dan Campbell tried to get cute and it backfired. The PA announced one player eligible. If something were incorrect, the Lions could'v3 addressed it.
