Wow!
I was rooting for overtime but can honestly say it's definitely games like this with a ref looking right at the play in the back of the goal line looking directly at the facemask in progress and no call.....say wha!!?

the penalty is not reviewable….
the safety is but they couldn’t have overturned it

They wouldn’t review and throw a flag. Although it would make absolutely perfect sense to do so. The league has not gotten to the point that they feel penalties should be reviewable ,even if they completely change the outcome of the game.

The NFL has prioritized certain plays for review, primarily focusing on scoring plays, turnovers, and some specific situations (like the game clock). This helps ensure that the most impactful moments of the game are accurately officiated while keeping the review process manageable....so they say....yet the safety which is a score isn't reviewed as to see if indeed it was a legitimate score so yes it is a confusing rule to say the least.

@justliketoplay
In fairness the safety should not have been reviewed. It was a scoring play that was very obviously a safety. The qb was ripped to the ground/tackled by his facemask in the endzone.

And the ref was directly and I mean directly behind the play and if you review it as I have many times the ref is 100% focused on the play and the facemask and does NOT call it as it was so blatant that not even the rigged deniers whom are and have been crickets about the non-call because it is 110% blatant and so obvious that it most likely even makes the deniers of the NFL being fixed mostly on prime time go hmmm at the non-call that favored the books and as most always not the gambler.

The ref that is responsible for that end zone has one job and only one job. He didn’t see the head turn with the face mask being yanked! I cannot believe how players get fined or suspended but these refs are not after one absolutely blatent blown call. It doesn’t guarantee the Vikings score and get a two point conversion to tie the game but wow does that leave a bad taste in any Viking fan watching.

Ive heard a ton of stuff over the years about the MLB players union and how is whiners and ball players are soft
how does the NFL players union take stance on stuff like this?
Boycott the games, stay in the parking lots and tailgate. fuck the owners, ticket sales don't make the stadium money
