this will be an emotional game but i can t see the habs winning this with the current lineup they have..too many injuries. yes darche is coming back but who cares if plekanec doesn t come back seems like boston will overpower them at home. i think the bruins turned the corner finally on tuesday against devils and should probably go on a nice streak
what does everyone think?

I'm a Bruins fan. If I could get myself to do it, I'd be betting the Habs all day long. +155 or higher for Montreal is ridiculous. They own Boston.
I think this line is the biggest joke of the day. The Bruins are reliably unreliable in their ability to bring passion, and Montreal's speed and willingness to dive and embellish exposes Boston's weaknesses. This has been a great matchup for Monteal for years now, injuries or not. I wish I wasn't a Bruins fan...I'd be hammering the Habs tonight.

Agreed...but the habs don t have alot of big pieces in the lineup and got embarrassed in mtl last game 4-1. At home they don t come out with an inspired game???
if you look at mtl since with these injuries they barely beat a terrible tampa in OT 2-1, got killed against rangers and rolled into minny who are playing the worst hockey in the league and lost to buffalo at home 2-0. I think bruins come out and play the type of game that got them the 8-6 win in beantown last time they played in boston.

They should, but they so often don't. Can't tell you how many times the Bruins "owed" Montreal the last few years and haven't delivered. No faith they will tonight.
This game has OT written all over it, probably a Habs win.

I don't feel too confident about the Habs. Although, they have had Thomas's number for the most part and Price has fared quite well against them his whole career.
I do think its a more important game for Boston. The way the mediots talks about these two teams you would never think it but Montreal is 4-1 against them this year and the Bruins need to show to themselves that they can beat Montreal.
First goal will be huge tonight.

Halpern and Darche should be in the lineup.
Sopel and Plekanec are game time decisions.

its amazing how everyone was off the boston bandwagon until their last game when they beat NJ..seeems like everyone forgot how much they were struggling..for me its habs or nothning..i need more than one game to see if boston has truly put their struggles behind them..

Agreed with all except to whom the game is more important. If the Habs don't get a point the division is all but sealed. If they win, they're still in it but obviously a point back and a few games lost. That's not must-win for Boston. And as for the "psychological" must win, to their detriment the Bruins don't feed much into that. They will go on ill-timed losing streaks and no-show in big games. They don't seem to follow the standard MO that most teams do, except they do manage to get going as the playoffs start. So I doubt they're feeling as much pressure to win as the Habs should.
Otherwise you are right all around. And I don't think this line respects Montreal enough. Should be Boston -135 or so, maybe -140.

Ya you could be right...I personally and more focused on the 5th seed for Montreal.
It's just a matter of opinion here. I said a few weeks ago I didn't think Montreal could win the division. Injuries, B's easier schedule and what is it now..2 games in hand?
I know Boston is struggling but motivation or not, they are healthy and good enough to keep that lead imo.

It's almost like they (the linesmakers) are trying to push people away from playing Boston. Montreal is always a popular bet anyway as they have throngs of faithful loyal fans that will ante up at the window. At a price of +135 or +140 there still would have been heavy Montreal action. With this line they are even inviting people to pound the Habs +1.5. As I make my way through this forum today I keep reading what I thought I would today which is "at that price there is no way I can pass on the Habs" or "Habs or nothing at that price". Sometimes however that all means nothing and the scrappy Habs could dump them (the B's) on their asses.
I myself think the Bruins will be coming in waves tonight. Tons of fight in those Habs though and that is never more apparent than when they play Boston.
Should be a good one.....

Ya I buddy of mine was just saying the same thing on the phone to me regarding this line. He said what you are saying that it is around where it usually is lately in Boston with these two.
I guess I just figured with Montreal owning them even better than usual this season (or so it seems from the style of victories), with all the hype of a barn burner and with Bettman warning both teams yesterday, almost assuredly making this a softer game which favors the smaller, speedier Habs that the line would have been a little closer.
As I say it often means nothing anyway. It will have to be decided on the ice as always.
