1-20-21 Puck Talk (Swiss Cheese and Stonewalls)

Not attempting to replace the man, just honoring him with one of his normal threads. I will attempt to do it everyday (at least until "official golf season") rolls around. 

One would think the Leafs/Oil would be a Swiss Cheese factory, but I have watched and played the Leafs tt the past 2 games (losers of course). Honestly, this should be a wide open game. The Oil are a desperate team imo. What did they do to improve? Have they been watching NHL past several years? Get a goalie man!!!! Haven't decided yet. 

Stonewall....it would have to be the Wild/Ducks. Over 5.5 PLUS money .  Think the Yotes/Knights total is like last night's Avs/Kings game. Vegas hanging out the low fruit so we will be tempted. 

Habs, can they keep it up on the road? Or will Nucks get their opening night game? See if that plus money goes higher and maybe bite.

I’m def stubborn in going to be on leafs over 6.5, although they have also screwed me the last 2 games.

I like the Habs to keep it rolling. Too many touts on Nucks and that scares me off plus Nucks have not shown a thing. Price has been solid and Montreal is really good offensively. Nucks have really started this season shitty not sure what is going on and maybe they get it together tonight? I'm on Canadiens. 

I don't trust Leafs and as far as Oilers it depends on McDavid. I would lean the upset here with Oilers as they have been losing and I think McD takes things in his own hands tonight and goes off. 

Leafs should get at least 3 imo, I'm on the over 6.5 -120 and Toronto in reg-110. Thinking Vegas pl, but not too sure about that one. I can get Vegas -1 in reg (see my question)

I have a question - my local got a new online book that has -1 in regulation only, which is a loser if the team you bet ties in reg and wins in OT. Anyone else have these kind of lines? Seems to defeat the purpose of the -1? I don't use any of the online wager sites other than what my local uses, so I am not familiar with other sites nor if this is a common thing amongst them. Is it normal?

Second, I can't get a -1 line. The only way I used to do that is combine ML with PL but I quit that all together and either play ML or regulation. Someone with more sense than me can chime in. I'll be back later..12:48 tee time

-1 includes OT. Every book from 5 dimes to Pinnacle offers this with OT included. You are right it defeats the purpose.

 My guy has the same lines. Don't play them. Make your own -1 instead with the ML and PL. Then you can still get the push in OT. At least thats the way I feel.

 I think major books all include OT but I use a local who never gave -1 lines but when he started 2 years ago...it does NOT include OT. So...thats why I will make my own -1 or use -0.5 if the ML juice is too high.

you can see the -1 in regulation on the site I use, it's crap - gotohc.com, user name - yes, password - no. obviously that's not my account

Blues and Vegas are both -1 in reg, they have to win by 2 to get paid, so why wouldn't you play the -1.5 instead at better odds - just dumb

Montreal plays very good against Vancouver. Sometimes when teams play out east, out west, they're on their last game of a road trip, in a 3 in 4 situation or b2b. Inflating some w/l statistics for the home team. This doesn't seem to be the case here. Montreal seems to cream them. I believe when Montreal played Vancouver last with fans  there was 50/50 fans for either team. Surprised Montreal isn't a higher favorite both teams are off 2 days rest. The line is correct and I have no reason to bet Vancouver.

The Toronto Edmonton game seems a bit of a coin flip. Edmonton might come out with something to prove, Toronto will oddly not show up some days. They do have a newer coach, so they probably will show. 

My leans are Edmonton and Montreal.

If you’re playing the long game it makes no difference whether you play ML RL or anything in between. It’s an emotional play. Easily shown using long term stats 

My only preference (which may contradict the above) is to play regulation time only wagers if I pick the favourite
