I decided to check out Rat Boy's SOG stats for December 2021 thru January 8, 2022.

Looks like you might be onto sumpin', bud...

12/2 and 12/4 - DNP - no idea why

12/8 @ VAN - 4 SOG

12/9 @ EDM - 4 SOG

12/11 @ CGY - 5 SOG

Covid break from 12/18 thru 12/29

1/1 vs BUF - 4 SOG

1/2 @ DET - 2 SOG

1/4 vs NJD - 3 SOG

1/6 vs MIN - 6 SOG

1/8 @ TB - 5 SOG

No trends that I can see (home vs away), 'cept maybe b2b when Bruins were home 1/1/22 and traveled for next night's game.  But Marchand did b2b on the road and had 4 SOG each night.

So 1/8 @ TB and traveling to WAS tonight...unless he had tacos at the TB post game buffet, ...or airport sushi in DC.  Can't see the future (for sure), but the Caps do play pretty good defense (2nd in SOG allowed).

Might have to take a flyer...but either way...BOL bud    

Wouldn't ya know it...my local crook doesn't have Marchand.  Go figure  

He has Bergeron (3.5), Smith (2.5), and Hall (2.5).  Day-ummm!!!

wish I had that prop at my book. Marchand has been a step ahead of everyone on the ice since the restart.
