As A Flyers Fan

I really thought they were improving somewhat and moving up the ladder. However after their previous two games, not including tonight's game against Columbus, they are worse than they were heading into the season. This team can't score goals and gives up far too many. Changes have top be made with this fucking team - maybe even a coaching change. 

Lifelong flyer fan myself and you should not have been expecting anything this season. If they get on a run and sneak in the playoffs then great, that’s a bonus. The net was a complete mystery heading into the season. We had no idea if Errson could play at that level again, he was never projected to be a starting netminder, only reason he fell into that role was because of what happened with Hart. Wesson like horrific at the end of last season as he ran out of gas we assume, Fedotonov was brutal in the fe games he played and we had never seen Kolosov and he sounded like he wanted to go home, he’s not a fan of American culture. We added no one aside from Michkov who had been a bright spot however. With that said we, yes I’m saying we lol, we got off to a really bad start so the boys have rallied. It’s stol a learning season though and there is inconsistency. The cap is still an issue. Next season the cap begins to free up and there will be some money and we can trim some fat if need be. Next season is the season I was counting on us getting into the  playoffs. They’ll need a run to get in this year and one or two of these goalies to get really hot for a while, something we have seen no sign of so far. Right now we came back and game is in overtime and two points are needed badly. Don’t give up though, next season is the test of this rebuild. With what happened with Hart that was a huge blow to the process but still as long as one goalie stands up then next season these guys should be a playoff team. For now you’ll have to hope one gets on a hot run. It’s the only way they have a shot to get in. I get your frustration but all is not lost and big changes would be the absolute worst thing they could do right now. These guys love each other and respect their coach. The level of talent is just not there yet overall. Merry Christmas bud and pardon any typos I’m on the go. 

Polar_Bear, thank you as always for your in-depth analysis of this year's Flyers team. You make perfect sense in every aspect explained. It's a long season and anything can happen but you're right in that frustration sets in bigtime when I watch this team perform. It turned out to be a nice comeback victory tonight against Columbus, worth two points in the standings - so I'll gladly take it. I suppose we can just let the chips fall where they may fall for the remainder of the season. Merry Christmas to you as all and all the best to you in the coming year.
