After having some time to take a deep dive into what they did yesterday for their future, I actually give them an A+ on the day, they made some excellent moves that will pay huge dividends in the next few years. People are emotional about Marchand and that’s natural, but that aside it’s a smart move, he’s done and was an albatross on team Canada, he looked like he was skating in wet cement all four games, he was brutally out of place. He does have enough left to help a complete team like Florida and make a big contribution but he’s only headed downhill from here. They picked up some nice future pieces, I’m a big fan of Minten, whom they got from Toronto, a number of teams were after him, he’s a great, complete young hockey player who will be a force in the league, a Bergeron style of player. I’m not at all a fan of Sweeney but after taking a good look at all their moves yesterday I think they did awesome and after a couple tough years coming up, the moves made yesterday will be paying off.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.
