don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I would have no problem with that either Boo......I just hope this helps to light some kind of spark because this team is completely unwatchable right now.

Look at his record since he was hired by the Bruins. Winning % over .700. Good Luck finding a better coach than him.
They just don't have the players anymore to be an above average team. Pasta is a superstar but has started slow after that at forward you have Marchand at 36 coming off 3 surgeries, Lindholm has 2 goals, Zacha 3, Coyle 4 to name a few. The rest of the forwards are basically a bunch of bums. Swayman is the man now with all that money but he has struggled so far, missing training camp sure hasn't helped. The have a solid D but that's about it.
They don't except losing in Boston and that includes every sport in the city but as Boo said the upper management needs to take some blame for this slow start.

Agreed.
Agreed.
I am already happier with Sakic taking over as interim coach.....honestly could care less about his winning % here in Boston.....maybe if he got us past that first round 2 years ago against the Panthers or maybe the fact that I was pissed they fired Cassidy.....was never a fan of Montgomery. Sweeney as well as Neely should have been shown the door but they seem to keep skating and the ice doesn't seem to be getting thinner!

LOL who is Sakic??

The GM was picked by Neely who I believe is president of hockey operations. If you fire the GM than you admit you made a mistake. The easy road is blame the coach and keep your job especially with a detached ownership who is not really involved in anything as long as the barn is sold out. Sweeney has really ruined a fairly good roster IMO as I mentioned in another thread last night.

Not a fan of Montgomery either, but ... knee-jerk over-reactions to a short-term malaise are sometimes an ignition point of a much bigger fire which eventually results in the downward spiral for a long-time stable franchise.
Accurate observation.

This season's NHL has more parity than ever before. Any team's poor performance during a brief 10-game stretch should not qualify as a legitimate reason to dismiss a head coach with a >.700 regular season win-%.
