IceMade coaching was Russia's downfall in Vancouver and it was their downfall in Sochi. It's disappointing for the Russian fans but once again they have a few highly skilled individuals without much depth specifically on defense and they don't play as a team. 
Ant914 you obviously didn't watch the game. If you did, then you would know we had puck possession 90% of the game and had 55 shots on a very hot Latvian goalie. If it wasn't for him the score would of been 8-1. This semi final will be an NHL style game. The European teams utilize the big ice because that's what there used to playing. Canada/U.S.A. will play like there back on NHL ice and both teams are very familiar with each other. Canada might only have 13 goals to U.S.A.'s 19 but we have only allowed 3 goals in four games! 11 players on Team Canada have Stanley Cup rings, 5 guys on team U.S.A. . You tell me which team knows how to win in the clutch? The U.S.A. hasn't played one good team yet in this tournament and don't tell me Russia or Czech Republic were good teams. LOL!! We beat Finland 2--1 who is the Top 3 teams in this tourney. Believe me U.S.A. will find themselves in a much different game come Friday.

CanadaCup - I agree the Canada Latvia game was very one sided, but when you have 90% posession and 55 shots, you can't just say the goalie stymied you. Some of that is on the players not burying the puck in the back of the net. If you are not accurate with your shots, you make the other goalie look awesome.
But I fully agree about their Defense, and this one looks like a good under play. BOL to all.
