Canadian Hockey Dominance

Congratulations to the Canadian National Team for their Gold Medal victory in the World Under 18 Championships. The Canadian boys thumped an inferior American team in the Gold Medal game to secure their place atop the young hockey world. This follows up the Canadian Women’s thumping of the Americans at the Women’s World Championships. In both tournaments the Europeans were not a challenge at all to either North American team. 

Young Canadian superstar Gavin McKenna is an absolute phenom and the latest number one hockey talent in the world. He scored a third period hat trick to put the young Yankees back to bed in the Gold Medal game. 

Congrats Canada!! Still the best in the world !!

 Dude relax.  I am also an American and love my country as much as you do.  Just posting factual info.  Canada invented the sport and they clearly are better at it than the US in general.  And no would not want to move or live there.

And thank you for your service to our great nation.  I never served but I am very grateful that we have men and women like yourself that served to protect our freedoms.  Much respect.

you can feel it in this thread.  Oilers vs a weak Canucks matchup ensures one of them make the Final 4.  Can soft McDavid save the country hahahahaha.  No the best on the planet McKinnon will have a better shot…if he can prove an average goalie wins a cup in this new age of NHL.  No longer 2-1 games. 

ANOTHER major point here is that the Fins, Sweden, Scandinavian are becoming a powerhouse…

In fact the Bruins Captain is Canadian and the Leafs Captain is a fucking Mexican American from Arizona.

Where a team is based in a business sports empire has ZERO to do with the city or country the team is based in other than the jersey it’s selling.

It’s really hard to argue with this level of stupidity.

The goal of the NHL since the little Jewish lawyer was put into place in 1994 and the southern project was started, has been to grow the game in America specifically in areas where hockey wasn’t working and kept folding. Thats the only goal of this sports entertainment business and there is zero upside to a Canadian based franchise being successful. Canadian fans stupidly watch and attend regardless of succes out of blind loyalty and genuine love of the game. While many of the American cities require a certain amount of success to maintain interest. The Colorado Rockies folded with no success quickly enough so they knew they had to give the new Colorado team early success and they did, with the stealing of the Quebec Nordiques and a few key additions they had an immediate cup ready team. It’s a business and it’s been their only goal since the little lawyer took over. It’s not rocket science, really it’s not. Everything is about money and nothing else. Welcome to the world. 

PS I cheer for an American based team the Flyers, because it’s completely fucking irrelevant where a team is based. It’s a jersey and logo nothing more. The team I cheer for actually happens to be the last all Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup, two teams since then that came the closest are the Ducks and Blues just having a few non Canadians. Note none of the three teams are actually in Canada lmfao. 

The World Championships means zero. The roster is made up of players to gain experience. There are kids from the junior team in it FFS. Using that as any type of gauge is just asinine. America will soon pass Canada though because the only goal of the NHL is to focus growth in America, it’s all they have done and all they will continue to be and it’s a large part of the reason the rules of the game have been changed to accommodate American College hockey players, who back in the day were always too soft to make it in the NHL. The league is now moulded perfectly for their success. America will 100% pass Canada in hockey, it has but yet but it absolutely will.

And honestly it’s irrelevant because from a life perspective hockey is the least of Canada’s worries right now as a nation under siege. 

This has always been a solid Stanley Cup winner handicapping strategy.Look up each teams roster and bet the one with the most Canadian born players.

John Tavares who is the current captain of the Toronto Maple Leaf's was born in Mississauga Ontario in 1990. LOL he is far from a Mexican American. 

I am sure he meant Austin Matthews who wears the A on his sweater, so he is a Captain too. Austin identifies as half Mexican. Never the less if anyone is honestly arguing that Americans are better than Canadians in hockey (as a whole) I can tell you first hand from my kids experiences in the USHL and now college hockey that is far from the case. The American Development Model has really helped identify those Americans that are talented. Then it is up to the parents to spend a SHIT TON of money to get them the right coaches, training, teams, etc to get spots and keep moving on. Most (not all there are plenty of Canadians who have to do this too) Canadians have a system in place that will allow you to develop at home.

My kid has lived with billet parents since he was 14 years old. Milwaukee, San Jose, Boston and now with me in Arizona where he will be playing for ASU in the fall.
