I know you all gonna hate on me for this, but I don't see any signs or hope that any Canadian team will ever win the stanley cup in the next upcoming 10-years!! The montreal canadiens proved that they look great, but can super suck playing west coast teams...and every canadian team looks cursed when playing any american team in the stanley cup. The only chance Canada ever has is in world juniors or olympics or any other leagues or categories. But I will bet on futures and put mega dough on it, that USA owns the CUP now for a long time, and it will take an incredible almost FREAK team to ever claim the cup back from those yanks.

Oh yeah, I know you guys gonna use that Canadians almost made it until NY rangers guy ran into Price blah blah blah bullshit, but even tho, they still wouldn't have beaten LA. Watch this year, how Montreal gonna blow it and lose before 2 rounds in playoffs. Carey Price is only as good as the team infront of him, and watch how PK subban and Max P gonna go dry in all series in the playoffs and he will be a non-factor.

Winnipeg Jets have the best pool of prospects in the NHL.
The Hockey News has predicted they will win the cup within 10 years. Here are my Top 4 not playing with the Jets right now.
Josh Morrissey - Morrissey is one of the elite defensemen in his age group. A key power play performer in junior hockey, his offensive instincts are immediately evident. He is an accurate passer and carries the puck with confidence. Morrissey is not hesitant to initiate the transition from defense to offense. His high level technical skills fit well with some of the young forwards in the Winnipeg system.
Nic Petan - Petan had 35 goals and led the WHL with 78 assists; finishing plus-47 with 69 penalty minutes. Portland finished first in the U.S. Division and reached the WHL Finals for the fourth straight year; falling to eventual Memorial Cup champion Edmonton. Petan scored 7 goals with 21 assists and was plus-7 with 38 penalty minutes in 21 playoff games. In seven games for fourth-place Canada at the World Juniors he scored 4 goals with 1 assist and was plus-1 with 12 penalty minutes. Canada lost to Russia, 2-1, in the bronze medal game. Petan signed a three-year entry-level contact with Winnipeg in December 2013.
Joel Armia - A budding power forward, Armia is one of Finland’s most heralded young players. He has a rare combination of size and goal-scoring ability, using his 6’3 to shield the puck and soft hands to stickhandle and shoot. He needs to work on his defensive play, especially 1-on-1, and his skating ability.
Nikolaj Ehlers - Blessed with dynamic speed and sniper's hands, Ehlers did not have to adapt to the QMJHL so much as the league needed to readjust and try to stop the blazing Dane. Able to dance through defenders and fire his laser-precise wrister home, he will only get better as he continues to get stronger and more capable of breaking through physical pressure. Creative with the puck, He was the QMJHL’s fourth-leading scorer behind Anthony Mantha (DET), 20-year-old Marcus Power, and Halifax teammate Jonathan Drouin (TBL). In 63 regular season games he scored 49 goals with 55 assists and was +65 with 51 penalty minutes. The Mooseheads finished first in the Maritimes Division and advanced to the playoff semifinals — falling to eventual QMJHL champion Val-d’Or. Ehlers scored 11 goals (nine on the power play) with 17 assists and was +3 with 18 penalty minutes in 16 playoff games. He scored 2 goals with 4 assists and was +6 with 4 penalty minutes in five games for Denmark. Ehlers was selected to play for Team Orr in the 2014 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. He was ranked 13th amongst North American skaters in the Central Scouting final rankings and was selected by Winnipeg in the first round (ninth overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Canadian Hockey =NO $$$ for the NHL . TheNHL is holding on only because of the fans and the teams that play here. They have to hold there breath every year hoping the worst thing for the sport doesn't happen , Canadian teams in the CUP .Bad enough if there one . . Its bad enough that you could stop 100 people in most cities including NY and 90 of them wouldn't know who was in the Cup final last year ,let alone name half the teams names or worse ,name 10 players in the game ( 5 out of 100 can do that) . Can you imagine if the sport was dominated by foreign teams ? They continue to water the game down and its not working ,mainly because its not bet on .Most don't realize its not such a bad betting game ,and is less volatile than basketball.,(except for the childish pure lucky shoot outs they added ),It will never get bigger than any other sport till its played in mainstream high Schools and collages in major trend setting cities like NY ,LA,Miami,Chiago,Dallas . .Until the parks have rinks all over the citi ,or in half the schools ,iT is what it is .

MTFN, I hope you were just kidding about the league "holding on" bc of U.S based teams. Here's a list of the most valueable teams in the "league" 1)Leafs by the largest of margins2)Habs 3) Van 4)Calg 5)Edm 6)Win 7) Ott 8) Flyers and then the rest If you read any other material spewing misleading facts, ignore it. And just a fyi, the NHL (Leafs) just paid themselves 6 BILLION dollars to help further expand the game in U.S. That cheque didn't come from any teams based south of the 49th. That money helps "teams" such as Florida, Arizona, Columbus, Dallas continue the charade.

I don't think so chillin as its not in the cards. The NHL has a mandate and the Habs are not in it. They'll always be close bc Quebecers are the smartest hockey fans and wont support a loser

As long as its Bettmans NHL prolly not happening. Canadiens are the only team I would bet on for bringing the cup back home. Leafs have a curse on them all their own and won't win anything for the foreseeable future. Canucks might get close but their heart is only as deep as the Sedins. I would like Edmontons team to nurture their bevy of first rounders into something contendable, Calgary just flat out sucks no excuses there. My Nordiques would have been the last Cup winner but they shipped them out in their prime winning their first year in Colorado. What a rip off. I'm still pissed about that. darn you Bettman.

gary's biggest dilemma exists in the west. There are only 3 Canadian teams he can fukk out of the playoffs and 4 gary teams that have to make it or else no one will show up in those markets next year. The 4 gary teams are Colorado, Dallas, San Jose and LA. The Kings might survive but the other 3 will not. Calgray, Vancouver and Winnipeg WILL NOT make the playoffs and it has nothing to do with talent. Sorry
