Carolina-Washington Matchup

Anyone know why the Canes are now a -160 favorite on the road in Washington?  

What line were you expecting?

Ovie record breaking hangover?  Canes on 3 game losing streak - prolly not a lot of instances where they went more than 3 losses in a row?  Canes own a 7-1-2 record last 10.  Thompson still out.  Protas is now out as well, whereas Canes are mostly healthy in their Top6/Top4.

Honestly no idea, but I am on the Crapitals.

Hurricanes are 6-2 this season after losing back-to-back games and 2-0 after losing three in a row, snapping those streaks with a 5-3 win over the Avs and a 7-3 win over the Hockey Clubbers.

Definitely a head scratcher line.

 Canes just beat them week at home by a TD… hockey is hard to predict especially now teams have a little to play for , the pride I guess besides you never know who will sit and rest before the playoffs start… Caps were on a slide too , but now they can turn the page as a team and focus not only on OV’s record but on a game itself…

Caps are at home, in first place and lead the Canes by 11 points in the standings/division. Carolina has also dropped 3 straight while the Caps come in having lost their lost game.

With a win tonight, Washington clinches the #1 seed in the east. 

Capitols are 6-2 at home at plus money winning their last 3 as a dog at home.  Go Washington!

Piroozi, we’re sorry to hear about your loss earlier tonight on the Hurricanes. That was definitely a tough one after they had battled back from a 4-2 deficit in the 3rd period. Looked like they were coming on strong, but they lost.
