I like Cats versus Vegas, but I could see any of these remaining four playing for Lord Stanley's Cup. A double series wager on the dogs would likely result in a small profit, as Cats are going off at +110 to +115 ish and Stars are a small dog at +120 range.
I have been dissing my Canes all playoffs and they continue to prove me wrong. Brindy has this team clicking, however Florida has taken out the big bad B's, and dismantled a very talented Loafs team. Canes got an easier path with the Offense challenged Islanders, and the inexperienced Devils, so it would seem like a Cats victory is worth investing in.
Dallas struggled at times with a pesky Kraken team, but looked like contenders in last nights game 7 victory. Vegas mostly dominated a hugely favored Oil team, that seems to lack depth after #97 and #29. Very impressed with Vegas, but Stars have arguably the best Goaltender remaining, even though he looked very pedestrian at times against the Sea Monsters.
As our long time NHL Forum friend Lippsman would say... What do you want to talk about...???

Basically a coin flip in the east I like both teams but not sure who will come out on top. As for the west I like Vegas a lot. Dallas tends to make a lot of mistakes when teams press and forecheck and that is what Vegas used against Edmonton. I dont see vegas changing their approach in this series. Dallas also is a very mentally weak team not sure what they would do if petro tomahawked robertson. Otter also being yanked twice shows that if he doesnt have it they are done plain and simple. Taking vegas to win the series -1.5 games.

Florida is a team of destiny - Kings 2012. Dallas DOMINATED Vegas all season Florida v Dallas with the team of Destiny taking home the big cup. But what do I know.
Maybe
But Kings got insane level goaltending from Quick
Basically the best playoff season a goalie ever had
But they were never in trouble in any series so you don't necessarily need that level of goaltending

Actually........2 games ended in shootouts, 1 in Dallas & 1 in Vegas. Dallas won both.
The 3rd game played was in Dallas in the stretch right before the All-Star break when Vegas was on a losing streak. Stars won 4-0.
The same was said about OIL/VGK. The Knights only won 1 game in 4 during the season & it was in overtime. Everyone said VGK was history & it was the Dynamic Dou's year to go all the way. Yet, here we are.
That being said, this will be a great series. Believe you me this town, and the team, hasn't forgotten about the Pavelski incident during the playoffs with Pete coaching the other side. I know where Mrs. MUD & I will be for each game.

I like a Florida/Dallas final + Dallas to win the cup. I think the Canes had a pretty easy trip to the conference finals by dispatching the Isles and Devils quite easily, Florida is a different animal. Florida has been in some battles during the playoffs and no doubt learnt a lot from their first round exit last season as the #1 seed. Florida plays a tough aggressive fore check game, something the Hurricanes play as well. That series will be a low scoring battle, but I think Florida is just more physical and their perseverance will win out in the end.
Dallas and Vegas should be a good series. I have been to a few Vegas home games and the atmosphere there is unreal. If there is an area the advantage goes to Dallas anywhere, it's in the net. Oettinger is the best goalie left in the playoffs, he wins the games that matter, and has an excellent playoff record coming off a loss. The Stars are also waiting for Jason Robertson to pickup the scoring pace after a 109 point season. The Stars also have Peter DeBoer coaching behind the bench. He may have some good info on Vegas as he coached there for 3 seasons and knows the Knights traits and system well. Advantage Stars...

I think it will be a HEAVY series, hell I think both will be. Gone are the superstars and we are left with TEAMS. I'll admit, I didn't think the Knights would go this far, but they seem to get better and better each series. I think this will be the best goalie they have faced (even though he got yanked twice in the last series). Vegas is really sound in their play and that is evident to me because no matter who is in net, they continue to win. Hell, who thought Hill would be the man at this point? I would not be surprised if either Dallas or Vegas wins but I had Dallas out of the West in the beginning so I am sticking with them.
I have just become a Panther fan. Love the grit they bring to the ice. Going through Boston then Toronto one would think do they have anything left in the tank and I would say yep. My only concern is how long will the Hasek juice last for Bob? We all know that he can stand on his head or he could go south in a hurry. I think we will see a lot of unders in this series.
Let's just enjoy it because we will be stuck with nothing in a few weeks till October.

So far, Covers consensus appears to be FLA in the East Vs a pretty even split on VGK/DAL so far which is pretty much reflected in the books Futures.
I added this play today since I worked from home today. I just really like the chances of this hitting, as I see each of these teams capable of winning at least 2 games in their series...
3 Series Spread Parlay:
