CONN SMYTHE TROPHY........................

Question

Little late to the table. But can someone please tell me how in the h.ll Jordan Binnington did not win the Conn Smythe trophy. I am from

Owen Sound, Ontario where Jordan played his Junior career for the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL. He lead the Attack to the Ontario

Championship in 2011 against the Mississauga Ice Dogs. That series also went 7 games and Owen Sound won in overtime in Mississauga

thanks to Jordan standing on his head in that game. He with stood a good 12 to 15 minute barage in the first period of Wednesday nights

game in which without his unbelievable stellar saves the Bruins could have been up at least 3-0. Binnington won that Cup for the Blues and should

have been the Conn Smythe winner. Yeah he had a couple of questionable games in the final but who showed up big time when it counted

O&#x27;Reilly led the playoffs in points, game winning goals, tied a Wayne Gretzky record as the only other human to score in 4 straight stanley cup games and was the leader of the blues through the playoffs. I would have been fine with binnington getting it but can&#x27;t argue against o&#x27;reilly either with what he accomplished.

My beloved Blues finally did it!!!!   ROR and Binner both deserved it , but only one can win it.  Neither will ever have to buy a drink in the Lou ever again

I would have been fine with either but ROR was great in playoffs.  You could make argument difference with Blues team was they had a goalie that won them games not lost them games.  Can&#x2019;t remember who started thread after Sabres traded ROR and said how Blues got fist in trade.

It was DoubeUP4Life. And I remember this because I thought it was one of the dumbest threads I&#x2019;ve seen posted in this forum lol. I don&#x2019;t think a single player the Sabres got in that trade played through the season. And I&#x2019;m sure they&#x2019;ll draft a Con Smyth winning player with the draft pick they got from us tho

It was actually that trade that made me choose STL to win the cup in a futures bet. I thought it was a great move.

As for the CONN yes I fully expected Binnington to get it considering the fantastic job he did (especially as a rookie.) But O'reilly was a very close second IMO and he crushed the final series.
