I recall some so-called hockey experts recently calling for Dallas to win the west and represent the conference in the Stanley Cup finals this year. A solid "future" bet they added. Judging by the way this team has been playing recently, they're anything but a threat to make noise in this year's postseason. Coming into today's game against the Blue Jackets, the Stars have dropped six of its' past eight contests, with five of those losses coming on home ice. It can be mentioned that four of the five defeats were in extra time. Either way you cut it, a loss is a loss and today they're currently trailing Columbus on home ice 1-0 after the first period. confused

i already hedged out. &#xA; &#xA;Stars have a horrendous OT record this year. Based on gameflow, im thinking this game goes to OT

Yeah, I don&#x27;t think this team is a threat to many teams come playoff time.
