Not a good night last night, but we really did have a chance to win every play!! Essentially, my "Top Play" on the Red Wings was the difference on the night. Like any solid capper......we move forward!! Love these "big" doggies tonight!
Two of the four meetings between the Sabres and Devils made it to overtime last year, and 4 of the last 6 meetings have been decided by a goal. One may not like the spot for the Devils this evening with them playing back to back road games, and with this being their 4th game in 6 nights. With this being said, the Devils have actually faired well as of late under those circumstances. The Devils are 4-1 in their last 5 games on the back end of a back to back situation, and they are 9-3 in their last 12 games in the 4th game of a 4 games in 6 nights situation. The road team in this series is 9-3 in the last 12 contests, and the underdog is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings. These two teams usually play each other close to the vest as well. The under has cashed 31 times in the last 52 meetings, and the under in this matchup is especially dominant when they play in Buffalo. The under has hit in 14 of the last 18 contests played at the newly named First Niagara Center. I am expecting a tight one in the Queen city tonight, so i will gladly take the nice tag with the visitors in this one. And, at plus money, I will take a shot with the under as well.
The Ducks have struggled out of the gate this year, but you have to think that, eventually, Randy Carlyle will right the ship with this playoff team from a year ago. There is way too much talent on this team to be underachieving like this. The Kings have been struggling a bit too recently, and it makes you wonder if the visits to Europe to begin the season has taken a toll on these teams? With all this being said, the Ducks won the last three meetings last year and only lost by a goal in the only other game between them last year. The Ducks also won both meetings at Staples last year. At plus money, I will also take a shot with the under in this one. The under cashed every time these teams played last year, and has taken the money in 7 of the last 8 contests overall. Furthermore, the under has cashed in 4 straight games in LA.
