The stars are alligned for this one. Oilers have been a sad sack since the Xmas break, failing miserably to produce any offence what so ever.
Goal taken away in Nashville the other night had McDavid blasting the rules/refs in the media. Frustation showing as another nail in the coffin puts their season closer to bed.
Must win tonight, rock bottom if they lose to the Coyotes. They've had a couple days to think about this one.
I think they at least double up the Coyotes 4-2.
The frustation comes out tonight. One night only!!!

both Arizona and Vegas coming of their "bye week" so Oil may catch a couple rusty teams. as i recall, last year teams coming off the "bye week" and playing their first game vs a non-"bye week" team had a losing record.
Oilers should have the advantage tonight. Coyotes weren't allowed by league rules to have their first practice until 4pm yesterday. if Oilers can't win tonight vs a garbage team coming of a break they should just pack it up for the year. i'm willing to take a shot on them tonight. if they can't win this one they will be on my "do not bet" list for the rest of the year.
also, will be interesting to see how this break affects Vegas. will they lose a little of their Mojo or will they just keep rolling?

Last season, teams coming off the bye week had a record of 8-14-4 when playing a team that was not coming off a bye week of their own. The team coming off a bye can't practice until the late afternoon the day before their first game. Arizona skated at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

not sure how much it really means, but:

Cam Talbot vs Antti Raanta (confirmed) in goal. Talbot is career 7-3-1 vs the Coyotes BUT the Oilers have score 2 goals or less their last 6 games going 1-5
