Think it was Ben that stated the Oil are just another version of the Leafs, I could be wrong. However, I would say whoever stated that was correct. Small core of offensive players, no D and no G. I don't understand how GM's don't see year in and year out what type of team it takes to win in the playoffs. Look at the remaining teams. The offense is coming from all over, even 3rd and 4th liners, solid D core and good goalies (I mean the Silovs story is remarkable).
Looked back on the playoffs. Visitors have won 36 times and home teams 29 times. HOME ICE means squat, except maybe game 7.
