What the hell do I know? 

First, how good is Florida playing right now? Of course, on the flip side, I will say that Carolina offensively has declined to the Islanders level. The Canes allow very little as they are in your face and sticks are always on the puck but if you can't score, you can't win. 

Onto tonight. Last night I took a chance but this afternoon, I'll play the stats. Dallas has scored 3 or more goals vs VGK in 7 of last 10 meetings AND 3 in the last 5 games played in Vegas. In the Stars last 10 games, Dallas has scored 3 in 8 of their last 10 games. Flip it and Vegas has allowed 3 goals in 6 of their last 10. Give me Stars to rebound and score at least 3 in today's game. 

And let's stay in Texas and play the Stars jr. team tonight in the deciding Game 5 vs Milwaukee. 

That was a heck of a hockey game last night in my opinion.... agree on Carolina offense... all their shots were ‘bland’... like they were hoping it would go in... instead of creating a tad different angle on it... they shot the angle they were given...over and over... they have had a heck of a year though... and if they can go on road and relax a tad now down ... maybe they find that creativity that makes a difference.... but I thought that was one heck of an effort by both teams.... I think the winner of this series wins the cup.... they may be tired as I have heard... but these 2 teams look a tad better in my opinion... my 2 cents.  Good luck to all. 

Being past stats are thrown out I'd like to throw this in.

In all 3 meetings between these teams VGK were shorthanded from injuries to multiple key starters in every game. They're now at full strength, not the same team.

On a sidenote they did spend the weekend in Vegas. However, I believe Coach Pete gave them the stink eye about enjoying themselves during their stay.

Gonna be a good game. Mrs. MUD & I will be planted on the couch eyeballing the tele.

 I agree some past stats mean squat but I am also one that believes certain teams play each other the same way and some things never change. I actually forgot that Dallas spent several nights in Vegas, but one would think these guys know the situation and this isn't like a regular season over nighter. I agree it should be another good game, but I will be watching PGA Championship. Hope you and Mrs Mud enjoy the game. 

Another note I forgot, isn't Otter like 302-2-1 following a loss?

 302-2-1   That's impressive!!....but that does show 3 losses. 

I don't know about that but he does have a good record following a loss.

Jake's basically alternated wins and losses in the 2023 Playoffs...always starting with an L (MIN, SEA, and now VGK).  'Cept for closing out the Wild with Ws in games 5 and 6, he's grinding like most, and his Ws have mostly been followed by another L, as Mud Man says.  He's in the WC Finals so we have to give the guy his due, but your point is valid, Mud, and no whistle for goalie interference so there ya go!

 Didn't watch a second of the game (PGA Championship). Florida v Vegas would be a good series instead of those mudders Dallas/Carolina.
