Right now some sites still have them at 6 to 1 odds... and this is the reason I think it's very good value. They most likely will finish 2nd in east and play either Ottawa or Washington 1st round.. They have dominated Ottawa the past two seasons and Washington always chokes in the playoffs plus the caps are just terrible this year. Then after that they would play the winner of 6 and 3 seed which would probably be the Devils or Panthers, they have beat the devils 4 out of 5 times this year and I really don't see panthers beating New Jersey and then Boston. So there we are, eastern conference finals Boston VS maybe someone like Penguins? Even then you could hedge your bet abit an even dump most of it on the other team if you like. What I really like about this bruins bet is that they wouldn't have to worry about playing the Penguins, Flyers, or even Rangers until the final round, and this year the 3rd team seed is so terrible plus the 7th and 6th aren't great as well so it won't be hard to get there.. . what do you guys think on this one?

They re-seed after every round.. If the Devils (likely 6 seed) beat the Panthers/Caps, Boston would see NYR/PHI/PIT in the 2nd round.

Bruins do have value, everyone looks at how poorly they have played the last month and a half and forgets about how they dominated the league for the better part of 2 months. Having Horton out definitely hurts but this is a team that is built for a long series with their strength and hard nosed play. I am not saying they will win but, they are not getting anywhere the respect that they deserve.

also one of the most balanced scoring teams with 6 players with over 20 goals, Pittsburgh I believe is the only other team that also has 6 players over 20. Bruins have Kelly at 19, and Pens have Cooke at 19 as well so both teams are very deep.

Bruins have 5 guys at 20 or more looch, and 2 of them are exactly at 20 and not a single 30 goal scorer. That's not that scary bro. They are the champs and will be a battle deluxe for anyone to knock off but bottom line is right now if this team does not get incredible goaltending there are a number of teams that can take them down...
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

The Bruins would most likely play the Pens in Round 2, which is obviously a bad matchup for anyone.
6:1 seems like fair odds to me. I'd have the Pens as favorites and then the Rangers, with the Bruins slightly behind them. If the B's are healthy and Thomas can get some rest they could easily be the team to beat, but right now Pitt just looks like they're running away. I'd be a lot more confident in your bet if the Bruins didn't line up to face Pitt in Round 2. You need more time for one of their key guys to get hurt, as they usually do.
