Wild pay the moon for Martin Hanzal in trade with Coyotes
NO DOUBT WE'RE ALL IN, BUT FLETCHER MUST SEE MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE, AS WE WIN THIS YEAR, OR WE'RE REBUILDING WITH NO DRAFT PICKS FOR THE NEXT 3 YEARS
LIKE THAT FLETCHERS SHOWING HE'LL DO WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN, BUT WILD GIVING UP WAY TOO MUCH
Wild are loaded with young talent in the farm and on current roster. I don't think they're risking there future giving up a very late 1st round pick for a proven goal scorer. People hold to much weight on Draft picks these days. Especially when it's one of the top teams in the league giving up the 1st rounder.

I am no expert on the draft and who's who in the juniors, but seems a general consensus that this years draft is a bit weak, so this might be the year to deal top-picks easier.
So with the prospects Wild has, I agree they are not risking their future for a single run this year.

I AGREE THAT WE HAVE THE YOUNG TALENT WE'RE DEVELOPING, AND THAT HANZEL IS A BIG PHYSICAL PLAYER, AND WHITE IS SOME NICE ICING ON THE CAKE.
WHAT I DON'T AGREE WITH IS YOU'RE SAYING
" People hold to much weight on Draft picks these days."
IN THE SAME PARAGRAPH AS YOU STARTED WITH
"Wild are loaded with young talent in the farm and on current roster"
SO WHERE DO YOU THINK WE GOT ALL THAT LOADED YOUNG TALENT
DON'T GET ME WRONG, I LOVE THAT FLETCHER IS TRYING TO MAKE THE TEAM BETTER, AND WE NEED ANOTHER DECENT CENTER- I THINK HIS VALUE AT WINNING FACE OFFS FOR PUCK POSSESSION IS AS, OR MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIS SCORING ABILITY. I KNOW THAT +/- IS PROBABLY THE MOST OVERATED STAT IN HOCKEY, BUT IT DOES SHOW YOUR VALUE AS A 2 WAY PLAYER, AND HANZEL IS A -15 THIS YEAR AND A CAREER -23. OBVIOUSLY THE WILD CONSIDER IT MORE IMPORTANT, AS WE HAVE THE TOP 3, AND 5 OF THE TOP 7 IN THE NHL THIS YEAR.
THE THING THAT REALLY BOTHERS ME, IS THAT THIS IS AS MUCH OF A SHORT TERM RENTAL AS YOU CAN GET. WE GAVE UP ALL THE DRAFT PICKS FOR 23 GAMES (PLUS PLAYOFFS) AS HANZEL IS AN UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT AFTER THE SEASON, AND ITS A DOUBLE EDGE SWORD. IF HE DOES WELL, HE WILL BE IN DEMAND AND WILD WON';T HAVE ROOM UNDER THE CAP TO RE-SIGN HIM
I GUESS WE'LL SEE TOMORROW, AS THE BIGGEST PLUS MAY BE THE WILD WILL HAVE 2 GUYS ON THE ICE THAT HAVEN'T BEEN ON THE BYE WEEK
