Is there a list of the starting goalies for every single team? How many goalies does an nhl team typically have? I know there is a main goalie and a backup so at least 2. But does a team have a 3rd goalie? I checked some teams on covers and most have 2 goalies.
So does that mean if a goalie doesn't get injured during the season, the backup goalie almost rarely plays at all? Thus collecting a paycheck by just staying on the bench?
The other thing is i don't watch hockey but i do the scores and look at the standings for teams. Many times i would notice a line looks very strange/fishy and then people would say thats because the starting goalie is out etc which is a big deal. Does anyone know about how much cents a starting goalie is worth? Like if a team is -150 at home with their starting goalie. I assume the line would drop probably 20 cents at least?

Two goalies dress for each game (starter and backup), and as such most teams only carry 2 on the roster. But they also have multiple other goalies, usually another 3 or 4, under contract that are playing in the minors. This is who would be called up in the event of an injury.
As for number of starts, even without injuries both goalies play throughout the year. Almost always split the duties on b2b's and sometimes the backup will get a few spot starts as well. It usually depends on how big of a stud your starting goalie is and how capable a backup you have.
This also plays into your 3rd question about lines when a backup plays. Some teams have great backups whether they be a young future starter pushing for more playing time or sometimes there are guys that are just better as a backup than having the pressure of being a starter. And other teams unfortunately have a huge drop off in talent from their starter to their backup. This is why lines can fluctuate so much, or sometimes not at all, if it is known that a backup is playing. But I wouldn't say there is one specific number of cents that it has an effect as it is very situational.

https://prosportsdaily.sportsdirectinc.com/sports-scores/hockey-Scores-Matchups.aspx lists the goalies and their stats for every team playing that day.
IF you are talking about "listed goalies" like the pitcher in baseball there is NO NHL league requirement for a to "name" their goalie pre-game. best you can do is follow weeble's "STARTING GOALIES" thread OR check the goalie info sites like https://goaliepost.com/index.php and https://leftwinglock.com/starting-goalies/

How long typically are goalie starters announced? I took a look at rotowire and they do this but many times they would show expected as the goalie until later on.

depends a LOT on the team. in the case of Anaheim and their "stodgy old geezer" coach Randy Carlyle, many time you do NOT really know their starter until the warmups. MOST coaches are better and will announce their goalie in their pre-game press conference typically a couple hours before game time
many teams will list their starting goalie the night before esp IF they have an obvious #1 starter OR there is an unusual situation like injury or B2B. do NOT know about rotowire. BEST goalie info I have found IS the sites I listed AND weeble's daily STARTING GOALIES thread in this forum

Thanks for that information. If that is the case, then wouldn't oddsmakers be not that sure about the lines since if there is a sudden goalie change, then the odds move very quickly etc?
