It would be the Stars for me, they just have been very good to me this year. Great size, goaltending and scorers. Good on home ice, maybe with all the turmoil in dallas with the mavs and cowboys, they will have some good mojo coming to them . lol

Maybe the Stars ( if Miro comes back for the playoffs). Not the Oilers with their lack of offensive depth. I could see Florida in the Finals again tho.

Rantanen looks good on paper. Let’s see how he does with Hintz and Duchene. Is Seguin expected back for playoffs? Miro probably will be back at some point.
Stars look good at +600. Oilers ( who did nothing to make their team better) and the avalanche, are the only teams standing in the Stars way. and I don’t think Colorado has the depth or goaltending that Dallas has. Dallas Florida final. Who wins?, I have no idea really.

I already have futures bets on Dallas for the conference and cup finals. Considering the fact Dallas has been to the conference finals in back to back years, I think this team learnt alot last season about themselves and their character...The addition of a bona fide game changer in Rantanen to their roster, coupled with an additional playmaker in Granlund gives the stars some deep forward depth that was lacking in last years playoffs. It also sends a strong message to the players from management that the time to win is now, The fact Seguin (expected return mid April) and Heiskanen (expected return March 31st) will return in time for the playoffs will be an additional boost to the roster. I expect the team to continue their solid regular season, and take a run at the Winnipeg Jets for the division lead. Dallas trails the Jets by just 8 points with 2 games in hand, with 2 games against the Jets on their schedule (March 14th + April 10th). I think both Dallas and Colorado have made the best moves at the trade deadline, cementing themselves as the 2 best teams in the west. Edmonton looks like they have regressed to me since last season, their goaltending + defense around the net is suspect. Vegas has the grit and size to be a tough out but this season Vegas looks like they are missing a couple of depth players to be taken as a true contender when looking at their forward depth compared to Dallas and Colorado. Will be interesting to see how these last 20 regular season games are played out, and how the newly acquired players fit with Dallas and Colorado.

Now, after considering a $1000 wager for a futures Stanley cup wager, I would not bet on Dallas or Colorado at the odds offered today. You would be better off to bet those teams to win their playoff matchups and parlay the winnings on the next series + continue to build your bankroll through the conference playoffs and then a final wager a the cup finals. Only teams I see value wagering for the cup are Tampa Bay 13-1 or Winnipeg at 13-1. I think the Stanley cup winner comes from the western conference this season.
