People laugh at Kessel, and I&#x27;m not a fan of his, but I felt badly for the guy. I give him props for being gracious, and saying all the right things this weekend when the media kept badgering him about how he felt about being picked last. C&#x27;mon, give it a rest...he was only asked that question a dozen times already.

&#xD;&#xA;I agree with you completely.  I cannot remember a fellow who played in this league the last 35 years that I&#x27;ve been an avid fan that has now - officially - had a worse "beat" ... the guy has done absolutely nothing to deserve the crap being heaped on him.  His goal scoring has been representative of the tools he has been presented with and if he gets 30 I&#x27;ll be shocked with the supporting cast.  Its gone way too far and I feel for Kessel now.

It was a joke and served its pupose. &#xD;&#xA;Look..we have 2 threads about Kessell on this board, how many do you think we would have if the last pick was Stastny? Nobody would have cared. Kessell plays for the Leafs so people will talk about it. It&#x27;s not like Staal took a shot as Kessell as a person.
