Wow seems like a safe play right now as all are going to O.T.
@witswits
Before the season started, I was wondering how many games end in OT....I think it was around 20% of all total games? There were about 5 - 6 teams where OT was around 25 - 30%. Don't have the numbers as I never backtested, but if anyone can throw the stats out there: How often on average per season do games go into overtime? And is it worth putting money down blindly betting on all games in the regular season to go to OT?

last year was 23.1% The oddsmakers follow this data, and you'll notice that OT Yes is in the +310 to +330 range typically. Do the math real quick m(+320 implied odds = 23.8%), and the books have accounted for it if you just blindly bet it. It fluctuates btwn 21-25% typically. I think the highest it ever went was 25% in 2013-14 season, but I might be mis-remebering that stat.
A system I tried many years ago, was to find games that were close to even ML-wise. I used -120/even as the chinning bar, and only bet OT Yes in those games where there was not a clear Fave, and it did not hit that much higher (25%) and did not make up for how the books adjusted (those games OT Yes would go down to +300).
