love TB in that division this year. New goaler Smith and Jussi from Dallas for a full go round plus Vinny and St Louis. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;If the Caps suffer a come back then I really like TB but I think Ovey is too good for a slump.

Staal and Ward are going to have to carry this team. I don&#x27;t see how they can make the playoffs.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Since last season ended they have lost their 3rd (Cole) and 4th (Williams) best forwards to trade and injury, while their 2nd best forward (Brind&#x27;Amour) is coming off more surgery and is nearing the 18th hole.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Whitney is also near the end of his career. Guys like Eaves and Ruutu have to play at a level they have yet to show in the NHL. They seem more like 3rd line players instead of 2nd line players to me.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Can the Canes really expect another good showing from Samsonov?  I highly doubt that. He is the defintion of douchebag.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;All of the sudden, the SE division has 3 teams that will struggle mightly to score goals (Canes, Panthers, and Thrashers), while the top 2 teams (Capitals and Lightning) should have no trouble scoring at all.
