Something had to happen so the coach is the first to go. Stayed tuned!
I heard Rod the Bod isn’t signing in Carolina and Toronto is going to empty the bank…..wishful thinking.
if not, it’s probably Craig berube

not a big surprise--his rope was pretty short already before the playoffs-his salary is a lot less than charmin' soft Marner....Shanny likely has another kick at the can before he goes-10 years lol

Again...upper management is the problem not the coach. When you ignore defense and goaltending and focus on offensive talent you get a wildly exciting regular season with prolific offensive statistics. Then...when you get to the playoffs you are out in the 1st round with the occasional 2nd round exit.
As Bill Parcells once said..." You can either change the message or change the person giving the message ". Unfortunately for the LAFFS...upper management clings to power by changing the messenger which results in their continued high salary paychecks coming in.
I think the Oil Cannisters are in a similar situation. They have had exceptional high end offensive talent for years and years but really struggle on the back end and between the pipes. Tough to see them being able to get by teams like Dallas...Carolina...the Rags and maybe Colorado.
Of course...this is all just my observation...nothing more...nothing less.

@BooBunny
Hey Boo thanks for chiming in and I hope all is well with you!
I agree with most of everything you have said, BUT Keefe is the one that can make changes as a series goes on but he has never addressed an anemic PP or terrible PK. 1 for 20 something on the PP was basically the difference in the series yet he still put out the same 5 every time if they were available to play. Some stupid drop pass every time they left their zone whether it was available or not, then the Bruins pressured them as soon as they entered past the blueline but Keefe made no changes?? The PK has a 4 man box with no pressure being applied that's why Boston feasted on it. He is one of the few coaches that is still juggling up lines in the post season as well, he has done it for years now.

Well, one thing for sure. It is now on Matthews, Nylander and company because the coach is gone. Think Marner is next on the chopping block. Trade him for D...

@thehuntman
I see what you are saying with Keefe...the inability to make in-game adjustments is definitely worthy of criticism and maybe firing. But...are the lunatics running the asylum? Will the players mutiny or cry to management if Keefe sits them because of their "God" like status I think one of the LAFFS players said. It's a sad situation up there not that i am crying by any means. They have literally made no progress in 10 years of Shanahan's tenure. He should have been gone many years ago for egregiously avoiding the back end and goaltending IMO.
Yeah...I am well. Was planning to be around more this season but I am in my last 6 months of work before retirement which has kept me both in the office and on the road training some of my underlings.
Thanks...
