This might be even bigger than that 1919 Helsinki episode. Game 7. All the momentum is in the Oilers favor. Can FLA respond? Fuck if I know. I thought they'd sweep after Game 3, and I have not picked the right side all series (well I had $$$ on Oil last just not posted nor counted). Not too much history to go by here, but the eye test screams Oilers. Hate to cancel my series bet, but I am strongly considering it.

I agree and have absolutely no read on this game. I think Florida is the slightly better and deeper team but confidence is with Edmonton. I’m rooting a little for the oil to win, but the bad thing is someone has to lose. I think this cup will be a little sweeter for the winner than they usually are, and the sting will be a bit more painful than usual for whoever loses.

@tenorbrett@FillyFlier16 Do think FLA is the better built playoff team, but Oilers just look like the Cats relentless forecheck and physicality just doesn't bother them.
@GASportsDoc I'm stuck with my series bet on FLA, so might just cancel it. No confidence in Cats right now. And I really thought CV was gonna at least go back to PA up 3-2... Choked away the Calder...
@icemantbi careful. SC Game 7's are strong to the under (I tallied 1-12-4 to the Over with an O/U set at 5 in Cup history). Empty Netters are much more prevalent in today's game, so that data is a bit skewed, but its hard to ignore that staggering record to the Under even set at a 5.
Thinking Under is way to go, but these teams can score in bunches. OT Yes will be on the menu, for sure. More and more I feel like betting out of my FLA series money, and just watching the game - really don't mind if either team wins as I like Paul Maurice as a coach, and a Cup would get him in the Hockey HOF IMO. And Connor is a generational talent, and I can only imagine what he would have done back in the Gretzky era with his speed and talent and no Salary Cap...

I parlayed a bunch of MLB and Copa Americana Soccer games with the Oilers/Cats Under 5.5 with open parlays to the tune of 1.5 units wagered to win 3.75 units.
Same with Oil ML: risking 1/2u to win 1.5u and the +1.5 PL 1/2u to win 1.15 units.
Adding OT Yes for 1/2u at +300.
And a Futures Series bet on FLA -120 2u and Hyman Goals +3.5 (prolly dead) and McMuffin CST (this has a good shot)
Got a couple more bets on Columbia ML and Brazil game parlayed with ML and +1.5. Those matches should end b4 puck drop. Looking forward to the game, but not the offseason... But it'll help my marriage...

Glad for Paul Maurice. He is a classy human being and deserves some this. Great coach who had a rough row to hoe in his career but did so with class and character.

Same to you my friend. It's a grind, but tracking your plays really helps you remember what things are not working, or at least identify times during the season certain capping elements go off the track for a while.
