After great success last night, I'm sure along with a lot of others
(nyi/nyr over, winn/edm over, mon/det under) I'm going to start posting my picks in this thread on a daily basis.
1,3,5 units depending on my conf in the pick(excepts happen)
Flordia panthers- 5 units@ 1.95(grabbed last night, now at 1.9)
I dont make big plays often, getting the panthers at even $ is a steal imo. Being from Toronto and a leaf fans i personally hate betting on the leafs, I saw they were overvalued at the beginning of the year but the amount of losses i racked up betting against them early in the season made me very weary to pull the trigger when they went on a nose dive in 2015.
This Flordia team is a sound defensive team that will sit back and wait for the leafs to make mistakes and capitalize. Luongo and their team defense(forwards collapsing) will really limit the leafs imo and unless the leafs generate a lot of odd man rushes(doubtful with panthers system) or get a lot of PP's I see a 2-1, 3-1 final score. leads me to my next play.
Flordia/Toronto under 5.5- 3 units@ 1.8
Again taking the leafs under is sketchy to me, but on the flip side imo the panthers are one of the most solid under takes. A lot of the same reason as given above but on top of that the panthers are a very poor offensive team and it seems to me the leafs interm coach is trying to instill some sort of defensive accountibility system for the leafs forwards leading to no chances offensively. Hoping for low PP totals and no local kids on the Panthers to go off at home(gta).
Buf/NJ under 5- 1 unit @ 1.76
This is a very solid take, I really should put 3 units on it. Both teams are bad and cant score, this could be a very dull game and i really hope the zebras dont try to enhance entertainment with a lot of PP's. I see a 2-1, 3-1 game
NYI/Car over 5.5- 1 unit @ ???
I also like this take, both teams have been absolutely killing it offensively and the fact they both played last night may mean both backups will be in net. The fact both teas were in high scoring games last night may lead to a quick start. i would rather the hurricanes get the lead as the isles are in a tight playoff race and may try to slow the game down with a lead(it is the isles though) I see a 4-2, 5-3 score.
Clb/Phi over 5.5- 1 unit @ 1.83
both teams play an open game and aren't very good defensively and can give up leads, which is great for the over. i see a similar score to their game last week, 4-3 , final.
