6-5 in posted plays this week. A couple big hits to push me up over 2.5 units
ANA +1.5 @+120, but only if Dostal plays.
Dostal 3-2-1 in his last 6 and, other than the CLB game, he has been really good. The Ducks also actually score when he plays, where with Gibson, they get shutout a lot. Hard to say what headspace the Panthers are in right now. They are 2-5 in their last 7 home pages. Ouch! I'll take the free 1.5 goals, but only if Dostal plays.
BOS ml @+115
BOS comes in here on 3 days rest, which I am not crazy about, but I am hoping that burst of steam continues that they seemed to find last week. BOS is currently a playoff team. If they win today, they stay a playoff team. If they lose today, OTT passes them. Give me a heavy dish of Pasta in this one (please?).
MIN ml @+155
The line on this a head scratcher to me. Even with injuries, I like MIN in this game. Speaking of which, Brock Faber made the trip and he's off the injury list. He's playing. Brodin is still day-to-day, so maybe he plays.
SGP: PIT +1.5 w/ o5.5
I think PIT comes right back into this one with a head of steam. The team got the message the other day when they put long-term goaltender Tristan Jarry on waivers immediately after the loss to SEA. They looked great last night, and if they come back with that type of effort, they have a shot here against a CAPs team that is playing a string of games against the lower tier. Would the PENs dare to start the rookie tonight after Nedeljkovic's performance last night (40 saves, a goal, and an assist)? If they do start him, he beat WSH in this building by a score of 4-2, last November. Logan Thompson is 1-1 vs. CAPS (lifetime) with a juicy 3.05.
I look for a high scoring game here in what will be the 96th meeting between Crosby and Ovechkin. Old school hockey.
SGP: CLB +1.5 w/ o5.5
This will be a tough test for CLB, but NYR has been terrible against teams in the Top tem scoring this season. The Rangers are 3-11 in 14 games this season against teams in the top 10, as of today, and they have really been shellacked in some of those games. Two of those wins just happened against VGK and NJD, both of whom are in the middle of a scoring slump. This is the first time the Rangers have played against CLB this season. CLB are ranked 4th in GF/GP and are on the first game of the
roadie, while NYR returns home from a short trip out west (3 games). Tarasov gets the reins for CLB with a small sample size (1-0 vs. NYR with a GAA of 1.0). If history holds up then CLB should be able to score, but I'll play it this way given the number of goals that CLB gives up.
SGP: TB ml w/ o5.5
I think there are too many strong numbers in TBs favor in this matchup, especially at home. I expect some goals, but I don't know if DET will generate enough shots on goal
at 5-on-5 to get a win here.
Team Total Goals
ANA o2 (only if Dostal plays)
PIT o2.5
MIN o2.5
Good luck today everyone. As always, Demand Value
