If you've watched every game of this series so far, how could you in good faith bet TB with that juice?
You'd be banking on their past. You'd also have to bank on them staying out of the box. Last game, 5 on 5, they were the better team in my opinion. I guess you'd also be banking on Vasi to be as good as last game.
This is coming from someone who has believed in TB from the start and has futures on them. I just worry about what I've seen with my own 2 eyes so far.
For Tampa to win tonight, besides NYR just not showing up or Igor having a bad game, they need to stay out of the box and clean up some of the lingering sloppy passes/give-aways. NYR's power play is hot and if Zibanejad gets his shot, that sucker is going in.
Every game is different so we'll see what we get tonight. I do think NYR are a great value bet. The under is obviously tempting. I'll likely be playing shot props for fun. I can't wait for this one. Super important game and we could learn a lot about this series before the end of the night.
What side are you on? (Please, non-homer replies only).

I want TB to win for my futures. Badly. But if I had to bet my own money, I'd feel much safer taking the Rangers at those odds based off what I've seen so far. I hope I'm wrong!

Value is on Rags, but the line may be justified. Rags are only 2-6 OTR in playoffs this year, and are 27-19-3 for the season. Bolts are 5-1 at Home, and 32-9-2 for the season, so the line is about right. I would lean Bolts, but hate to pay -170 to keep OT in play. Every game, Rags have looked better most of the game, but that 3P comeback by Tampa has me concerned for this game. Can't let a team like Tampa back into a 7 game series like that.
I'm currently on the Under, but I am nervous that this game gets the EN Goal that pushes a hard fought 3-2 type finish over the Number. Both PP's are clicking, so reversing my stance on the Under is likely.
Good luck tonight, Bud.

Granted I am a rangers fan but all homerism aside I think you nailed it with the first few lines. Rangers just look more hungry and better to me. And this should have been a potential sweep game. Go up 2-0 in game 3 then got complacent and let 3 unanswered in and the dagger was with what 48 seconds or so left? Brutal way to go down. Kind of almost reminds me of the pens series game 1 which they were leading and with under 2 min left let the goal in to tie it and sent it to ot where the eventually lost and everyone chimed in and jumped on pens and rangers answered the next game and smacked them. Feels like a similar spot here. Now everyone is on the “ don’t count out the defending champs” thing and “ Tampa can’t and won’t go down 3 games to 1. I’d never lay the -175 on Tampa game 3 based on their play and I wouldn’t do it here either like you said. Tampa just looks off. It’s rangers or no bet this game imo and I wouldn’t at all feel comfortable with the over or under for that matter. Feels to me like rangers are going to put up goals today . All I know is either way it’s bound to be a great game!

Also we know playoffs are a different animal but we shouldn’t forget that with regular season included Tampa is 1-5 vs the rangers . Who is confident laying -180 with those numbers? Not me

I've been thinking this game through for 2 days and still not sure. Might have my 3 yr old pick for me.
Did Tampa wake up and now have some life left after the win and some momentum? Sure but I just don't know if it will be enough. Rangers have looked way better but anything can happen and think it's going to be a close game tonight regardless of who wins. Might just be a no bet for me tonight but I doubt it. Probably be something small for some action.

Good luck to you too! I agree with a lot of what you said. Will that 3rd period lead to TB finally waking up or was it an aberration? I too would lean unders but power plays could screw that up.
@JetsFan86
Really good points and I'm glad you admitted your stance at the start but gave fair points to both sides. The regular season thing matters in this series. It's definitely a match-up that trips TB up a bit. Think about how they just would never quit against Toronto in R1 and kept coming back. Then think about how they swept Florida. That's why I was stunned at how much better NYR had looked in those first few games. Tonight will tell us everything. I am so very excited to see how it plays out.
@Wildbetsmn
I've been thinking about it for 2 days. I'm wondering if guys like you and me wondering if that 3rd period woke TB up is wishful thinking? Maybe they just had a great period and that's the best we see from them. It's so tough to say and like you said.. anything can happen. I too wish I could say it might be a no bet but I know myself, I will get something in at some point, even if it's a live bet. I live bet the Rangers in game 2 when it looked obvious they were the better team. Game 3 I wasn't sure if TB would come back even tho I had huge money on them.
@PoeticJustice
Really interesting point. I do feel like this line is keeping people away from TB. There is apart of me that still believes they will win this thing but I need to see 2 things from them tonight: clean up the sloppy give-aways leading to scoring chances, stay out of the box as much as possible. Also, if Igor comes down a little, that would be a sign that TB has a good shot. He's been very good. I can see the scenario where TB actually plays well tonight and beats them without much doubt. It's a little harder to see at times but it's there.

If you like T-Bay tonight but don't want to lay the juice, you could consider parlaying them with the Rangers in game 5 (ie: leaving an open spot on the parlay). Just a thought.....

I admittedly didn’t think the rangers would look as good as they did vs Tampa the first two games but I also wasn’t impressed with Tampa in either of their first two series even though they swept Florida, let’s be honest Florida was fucking terrible. Top scoring team regular season and couldn’t muster anything Vs tampa. Tampa controlled that neutral zone vs Florida and really wrecked havoc and them and Florida couldn’t keep up or get anything going which isn’t the case here vs the rangers. You’re right tonight’s game will be very telling. I do still think tampa will need a lot of things adjusted and to go right to win this series outside of a full blown rangers collapse. Only 2.5hrs till we get to see for ourselves!

I just put a parlay in...got the over 5.5 goals just cuz last 2 we're low scoring and I met to take NY but they gave me TB so in the past if I change my bet I lose so we will see what happens

I will be on Rangers. As I stated before that Rangers looked like a better team so far. They cannot let Tampa back into the series. If the series is tied. Rangers is likely in trouble and could possibly lose the series.
Bet the right way and never chase!
