So looked back at Boston's record for afternoon games last season - I think we had a capper come in here and tell us that B's are nearly undefeated in Matinee games over the last 5 years or so. I think it was Doug Flutie's alter ego or something like that. 2023-24 they went 6-5 ML record with the Over 5.5 hitting 7 of 11 (5-4-2 at 6). And I know someone looked them up over last 3-4 years and they were mediocre at best with a mid 0.500 win %. I like LA OTR, as these guys consistently have been a Good Road team the last few seasons. Problem is, LA is only +130 - was hoping this line would get closer to +150 where I think they are a solid play. Gonna wait 'til closer to puck drop.
Budding Star Jeremy Swayman had a rough outing against the Habs giving up 4 goals, with Montreal on back end of a B2B. I feel like he will struggle a bit early on because of all the contract holdout shenanigans, and expecting Darcy to be in net on the opposite end. Kuemper has had a solid career, but he appears to be winding down, as his last three seasons his GAA keeps getting higher. I'd lean towards the Over. Gonna wait to see if lines move in my favor.
